both can be classed as one of the most improved manufacturer and have plusses and minus's.
I rate Samsung on value for money, performance and asthetics and have one myself based on this, having said that I was going to buy an LG but the Samsung edged it in the end. |

Samsung are the world's biggest producer of LCD panels I heard on the news the other day, which is probably why they are such good value for money and when you produce as many as they do the quality will naturally be able to improve faster than others.

You will get a bunch of people slagging Samsung, and another bunch slagging LG.
At the end of the say, the tv's wouldn't be on sale if they were that bad! I went with Samsung because the brand name was stronger, and I love the look of the one I have. |

I went with samsung because i remember my experience with LG TVs. My nans old LG tv had a worse picture than a Schneider TV i bought from ASDA.

I have a 37" LG in the living room and a 32" Vistron (only £270 some months ago
) in the bedroom. I've been told the Vistron has a Samsung panel and it is definitely the better picture, although I have no complaints about the LG.It may be due to the smaller screen and the fact that it is in a slightly darker room, I don't know, but I doubt it as a 19" Toshiba in a room of roughly the same brightness is the worst of the three. |

I love my LG. I had to fiddle with it for ages to get a superior picture. That was the only annoying thing about it.

I think my settings probably need tweaking too.
