I've got 8 empty folders from previously recorded programmes which won't delete!
I've pressed opt+ to go into file manager, gone to the folder and pressed red, folder disappears, but then when I go back its still there.

Ant ideas please anybody?

Wierd I just created a folder. And deleted it no problem.
Also tried creating 2, selecting both in the left hand pane and pressing red. It deleted both folders but I did notice a small bug in that the RH pane does not update automatically and continues to show the folders. Re-entering File Manager though confirms they have gone.

Have you tried selecting all 8 in edit mode and then pressing RED ?

No, that didn't work. I've also just noticed that the same folders are listed under the Radio Tab as well, how has that happened, have I inadvertantly copied them across?

I think this all stems from an issue I had earlier in the week when after deleting a folder the box just hung with the "deleting" message on the screen. I tried to power off and got a message stating "power off will happen after finishing deletion" I then went to bed, next morning it was still deleting. I had to switch on & off at the back and everything seemed ok, the folder had gone. But now I can't delete folders.
Do you think a disk format would help?

Before doing this and losing all your recordings try a factory reset instead, you never know your luck. If not then yes a reformat should start again with a new file system

For this part it is a known bug and will happen still should you sort out the probs with the factory reset as suggested by graham

Factory Reset didn't work, but disc format did. I'd watched all the recorded programmes. I've since created, and deleted a folder successfully. Thanks for your help guys.
Just noticed that all the recording schedule has disappeared after the format, I'm sure that didn't happpen on the 9200?

If you have a look at the disc on a linux PC there appears to be programme schedule data stored there.

I have an intermittent 'cannot delete' problem. After repeatedly trying to delete either files or folders I ended up watching a recording then coming out and I was able to delete again ! This has now happened several times.

You can't delete while the box is recording. Does that explain the random problem ?

That's possibly and hopefully true. I never thought to check but will next time.
