Colleen didn't deserve a 4.5 for her routine, but she was alot better than last week
Maybe not but Ruthie has no right whatsoever to tell another judge how to score. Her and misery features Jason often give very low scores and totally out of line with the others scores but the other judges respect their right to give what score they choose. She was extremely rude and patronising and kept harping on about it. Can't stand the woman. She is not needed as a judge and I have no idea who she is. One judge to boo is enough we have the twit Jason who is good to have a laugh at - so what is she there for? I like Nicky and yes sometimes he is a bit gushing but he really gave Coleen's confidence a boost and what's wrong with that? At the end of the day they can score what they like - it is her absolute and utter rudeness that is under scrutiny here. Get lost woman. |

She was lovely last year. What's happened to her? Has she been doing a stint at the Uphill Gardiner Charm School?
Which day was that? She's been shrill and carping since the minute she plonked her backside on the seat. I noticed she deliberately marked up Melinda's performance. I think that was a complete dig back at Nicky. "I don't care what mark I give you because I think you're beautiful to watch" kinda gave it away. I really only respect the skater's opinions - Jason is there to be laughed at booed at like a panto clown but she has no reason to be there but is just full of her own importance. |

she was very irritating last night.
what she said to nicky after ray's peformance prevented him (and herself) from actually talking about the performance. also thought she was quite bitchy about that. |

I do wonder what qualifies Ruthie to judge on this show?
The West End and Ice Skating are worlds apart. She's redundant. Get rid. |

I caught her on the TV today, she said both her and Jason were there to vote on the performance rather than the technical side.
Bring back Kres- she knew about BOTH performance and skating |

I'd say the 3 skating judges know more about performances on ICE than either Ruthie or Jason will ever know - all of them had to be marked on artistic impression when they were competing and Robin and Nicky have both choreographed big ice shows in their time.
And considering Jason marked down Michael Underwood for his hands - I suggest he checks out one John Kerr's hands in last weeks European Championships...... he won a bronze medal with hands just like Michael's. Jason is there as the pantomime villain - but at least he is a choreographer - Ruthie is a mere performer! |

People seem to want to dislike Ruthie as she doesn't come from an ice skating background. Her point was totally valid, she was not saying that the person who skates first is marked down in case those after are better - but if Nicky had've given a 5.5 or 6.0 to Ray then it leaves no room for improvement.
I do agree that Ruthie's handling of the situation wasn't great but I don't see how else she could've approached the situation whilst on air. It would be nice to know if the 'judges' are told how to mark; e.g. in relation to what week we are in or simply mark each performance 'as seen'. Are they judging on the performance or on the improvement?

Well she can't even do that right can she- I would have though stumbling around in front of the judges should only get you a 2.5 not a 4

Personally I think the producers should listen to the audience who seem to prefer the 4:1 format.
One self important loudmouth who knows diddly squat about what is in front of them is enough on the panel for this show - we definitely don't need a second who adds nothing to what he says. Its very noticeable that the gruesome twosome's marks are very often at odds with those given by the skaters who DO know what they are looking at and how difficult it is |

all boils down to if it is an entertainment show or skating show in the end - seems many are saying its entertainment particularly re Todd Carty if that is the case then see no problem with Jason or Ruthie on the programme

I hate to say it but I wanted to give Ruthie a slap the way she was talking to Nicky, what a bitch. Why doesn't she mind the own bloody business and concentrate on her own (usually crap) scores? I had steam coming out my ears
Thank god for the Todd Carty who calmed me down and gave me the best belly laugh I'd had in ages!!!
