First thoughts please.

Personally I love it, especially the title track, outlaw pete and this life.

The others are growing on me as it's not as easilly accessible as Magic but takes a bit of listening too.

It's a superb album - love every track on it. I especially like the fact that there's a variety of styles. It sounds like nothing that he's ever done before (which is good) - that he keeps expanding into new areas.

Listening to it at the moment....yet again,

It's undoubtedly one of his best for a long time, with shades of 'Buddy Holly revisted', a bit of R&B, and some really unusual 60's 'crossover' stuff, like 'Tomorrow Never Knows' which almost sounds like a 'cover' of The Trems 'Here Comes my Baby'.

Fave song at the moment 'Queen of The Supermarket' but then again that could change, 'cos it's closely followed by the title track, Working on a Dream, Kingdom of Days, This Life, The Wrestler and A Night with the Jersey Devil.

Brendans' 'Irish Roots' influence is again all over this one, although if it's got 'Fiddles' on, then Soozie's playin' and that suit me fine, a beautiful woman, who plays the fiddle like a Angel

How old is Bruce now? I heard one of his songs on the radio. It was good to hear his voice again.

He's 58 but that doesnt tell half the story,

His concerts are still like they were 20 years ago sometimes 3 hours plus of all that is best in rock and roll.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new album!!

I think it's because they all sound so different, some soulful, some countryish & some plain rockin!!

Favourites so far (likely to change!)
Outlaw Pete - great story...
Working On A Dream
The Last Carnival
The Wrestler

The only one I'm not getting is 'Queen of the Supermarket' dunno why, just sounds a bit daft.

Can't see him doing London this year after the Emirates gigs last year.

Anyway, "The Wrestler" is my favourite off the album.

If the rumours are true about Glastonbury & Hyde Park then like you I can't see a seperate London date. There's lots of different rumours flying around about stand alone gigs elsewhere in the UK

Hopefully we'll get an announcement next week
