If it wasn't deliberate, I'll eat my hat.
Just happened to 'lose it' in the right place to go down the tunnel. And came out exactly as the music ended About as 'real' as WWF wrestling. It takes a huge amount of skill to make something that funny deliberatley. There's no way Todd did that deliberatly. he is not that skilled. Lookiing at it it appears that he tripped and actually couldnt' stop and fell in the tunnel. It was supposed to be choreographed for him to go out waving and come back in again but not like that. |

And you could see in a gap in the hexagon thingies () on the left of the screen him falling over.
Exactly. I don't think he was supposed to fall

Yeah, if it was choreographed and he done it properly he would've had both feet firmly on the ground and arms flailing a bit. You have to skate pretty well to 'fake' a stumble like that! And you could see in a gap in the hexagon thingies (

Hubby and I have dreadful colds ahnd have lost our voices.... we sounded like dirty phone calls when we started laughing last night, and are still laughing this morning! The best moment of DOI yet. It was one of those golden moments

Todd is so funny, cant skate, probably never will but such a laugh.
He is being dubbed as the John Seargent of DOI but he isnt really. JS was arrogant and trying to prove something, his manner was offensive. Todd however is just a natural comedian and a great entertainer, ready to have a laugh at his own expense. |

Todd is just doing it for his kids - as he said. He's so entertaining - I think he was supposed to go off a bit (from what I've read on here) but no way near how he ended up doing it

It was absolutely hilarious, whether it was deliberate or not, and had the added advantage that Tony Gubba was laughing so hard he couldn't speak at the end. If only every performance would render Gubba speechless

I read that an exit was planned, but not quite like that!
Apparently he fell in the tunnel and had to be helped up and turned around. ![]() Bless him - he took it all in good part. |

It was entertaining and he deliberately can see that laughing at yourself is the way to go if you can't skate to save your life. He's as bad as Stephen Gately was but at least Todd makes you want to watch.
What I love about DOI is this contrast. The best skaters who are absolutely fantastic to watch - then the fun element. The boring ones in the middle are the ones who should go. Unlike last time when Aggie was so terrible but was kept in for ages - the difference being that you didn't dare watch her in case she fell over and broke something - with Todd he's really enjoying himself. Crap skating - brilliant fun. |

It was the best moment of DOI ever. I hope he stays to the final, he's more entertaining than John Sargeant was and that takes some doing.
