best mobile network

I am currently with Virgin Mobile and thinking of changing networks.

All the networks seem to have good coverage around here, so which do you think would be the best to go with, in your own opinion.

It would be a PAYG tariff i'd be looking for.

Thanks everyone

I cannot help you regarding network coverage but in terms of cost I changed from Virgin PAYG to Asda PAYG as the former charged 40p/min to call other networks and the latter only 8p/min. Asda is not actually a network per se but is on the Vodaphone network.

If you look back this was discussed a couple of weeks ago under the thread Best PAYG tariff.

I've never had many issues with any network. Not too keen on Orange or 3 though. Vodafone are generally regarded as having the best coverage nationwide. I have been happy with O2. I can't complain about T-Mobile who I with before.

it depends what you want if you don't use it much asda mobile are perfect 8p calls 4p text 20p Internet but if you want extra like Internet and TV vodafone and 3 are the best as they give you 3g sim cards or if you have family and friends on 1 network you can add things to get unlimited text and calls to them on a few networks.

Best mobile network for me would be O2. If your concerned about 3G coverage, then O2 might not be best for you. I see you want a PAYG tariff so in that case it depends on whether you want free texts when you top-up by a certain amount per month or not. O2 seem to do a lot of tariffs to suit PAYG customers now.

However, if you would rather have a flat rate tariff with no free calls or texts when you top-up then I would suggest either ASDA or Tesco for getting a PAYG SIM card from. ASDA use the Vodafone network while Tesco are a bit more expensive than ASDA and use the O2 network. ASDA are the cheapest mobile phone service provider I've seen. Not sure you would find a cheaper deal than 8p calls and 4p texts.

Yes 02 are good. I been with them 6 or 7 years and have had very little problems with them and get almost good coverage. T-Mobile and Virgin only seem to have medium coverage in my area.

Was originally with One 2 One, who I got annoyed with because they seemed to raise their prices when they became T-Mobile. I left to go to O2 and didn't have a problem with them. Then I went to Orange.. who were a little expensive, but also didn't have much of a problem with. Went to Vodafone who were ridiculously expensively.

Went back to O2 last October and have loved being there (even if all calls have a 20p connection charge.. which includes calls which go to answerphone... :angry Especially love their Text Anytime tariff.

For network, I'd say 3 (especially as they roam onto Orange - so two networks in one handheld). For customer service, I wouldn't say 3...

3 are not the best in West Midlands ( especially when you are at home ). I had to go out to make/receive calls... Called up direct to their executive who was able to cancel the contract after 3 months of having it.

Im now with o2 and its superb.. No problem at all.

Asda if your just the average user as someone has said above on charges, all networks give you top-up bonuses so i suggest you go to each providers website and see which one suits you! its not just o2 that give you good offers they all do but just not as well know as o2.
