The show started on TV at 6.30pm.....but does anyone know if this is real time, or has it already been in full swing for quite a while before we get to see it "live".

I suspect it has been on for quite a while, when they are looking back on the evening and recapping, you see each couple being interviewed backstage as to how they feel they got on.... in the background you see the next couple due to skate getting prepared to head out.... and I clearly heard a voice in the background on a loudspeaker calling out something like "30 seconds to recording"

I get the impression there is at least a half hour time difference. I would love to hear from anyone who was actually there this evening, and find out from them what time the action actually began at in the studio.

Its live.

They are interviewed backstage and sometimes its during our adverts so they are then having to start recording again.

Most of it is live, have been there a few times some bits do get recorded slightly in advance ie opening numbers just because of the practicalities of costume changes and stuff but the rest goes out to air very much live.

Yes it is live, if it wasn't, they could have cut the bit where jason said 'crapped' to Todd the first week. The christmas special was not live though.

its live live yep... they fim the extra stuff during the ads and what your seeing in the background is the posing before they paly the vt before going out onto the ice... theres no delay.

From what I remember at the rehearsal Jason said crapped then too and Phil hit him then too so it was scripted to a certain extent.
