The Beatles - Paul is a dead man..
My dad got really drunk t'other night, and unfortunately caught me in the kitchen having a midnight snack.
Now, whenever he's drinking late, he always starts blaring his records out on his set up which he spent thousands on. He works abroad so never gets to use it. HOWEVER! He likes to listen to music with someone, and like I said, unfortunately, he caught me  So I humoured him for a while acting like I knew who Mott The Hoople were (some of their stuff was good, I must say!) and other bands, and eventually, he put The Beatles on. Earlier on in the evening, after the third Organic Ale, I mentioned how our local neighbour -Stan The Old Man- used to work for Westminster City Council, and used to go to Paul's house to sort out 'rates' and shiz because Paul and his people didn't declare he was living there because it was at the height of Beatle-mania, and they didn't want all the fans knowing. Anyways, before I finsished my story (which is awesome by the way ), my dad looked at me, all smug, and said "Do you think that was the real Paul McCartney?" and I was like, "Erm...yeah? Why?" and that's when it started. My dad is convinced the real Paul McCartney died after Sgt. Pepper. And his reason were: The 'current' Paul McCartney, doesn't look like the 'real' Paul McCartney On the Abbey Road picture, Paul is the only one with his right foot in front of his left He's also the only one not wearing shoes, which is apparently an ancient tribal sign or something that someone is dead All Beatles records after Sgt. Pepper are just credited to Lennon, not Lennon-McCartney like it used to be Paul McCartney since, hasn't made the quality of music he used to. Not even close. However, the main reason was, if you play the song from The White Album, 'I'm So Tired' backwards, you can hear "Paul is a dead man...miss him..miss him...miss him" And to be fair, you can hear this. But come on, it's too clear and obvious to find. He also made me listen to the 8 minute track "Revolution 9" backwards. He was concentrating so hard, that he reminded of me of what Charles Manson must've looked like when he was convincing all his cronies to go and murder people! ![]() Has anyone else come across someone who believes that the 'real' Paul McCartney is dead? |

I've heard that one a few times before and I think it's been pretty comprehensively debunked. (Besides some of Paul McCartney's later stuff is good. Your dad must rate Band on the Run, Maybe I'm Amazed and Jet and stuff like that).

He isn't dead. He just regularly visits the island with 2Pac, Biggie, Left Eye, Princess Diana and Elvis.

It was meant to be during the Sgt. Pepper sessions (1967) that Paul "died", yet there is "proof" about his death as far back as 1965's Rubber Soul if you look up the websites devoted to it.
![]() That said, has anyone ever listened to "I'm So Tired" backwards and heard anything OTHER that "Paul is dead man, miss him, miss him, miss him?". That one is creepy, but yeah, definitely not true. I mean, what are the chances of The Beatles' finding a fake McCartney who happened to be more talented than the old one?

This whole thing originally cropped up due to Paul looking a bit different after 1966 because of certain cosmetic surgery he had done around that time. He supposedly had a car crash around then and the conspiracy is that he actually died in it and they 'replaced' him with someone else who looked very similar to Paul.
Obviously the first thing that debunks the whole theory is that Paul's voice has always sounded pretty much the same. If it suddenly changed between 1966 and 1967 then maybe people would have a case... but even then it DEFIES SENSE why it would never have come out or how 'Paul' could still be living the original Paul's life all this time!! Utter madness. Though his appearance DID change (the photos prove it. He obviously had his chin, eyes, ears and lip altered) |

The best bit is the website that tries to convince that pictures of Paul now don't look like pictures of Paul then. That's right - it's forty years later. But they still look like he would if he had aged by forty years...

I love the fact that, after surreptitiously covering up the death of a human being, John, George and Ringo decided to then make cryptic references to it for the rest of their careers. Quote:
I was reading through that website wondering exactly the same thing... I'm not sure if it was possible on vinal, but I'm pretty sure it's not possible now without some serious equipment... I may be wrong...
