Erm...did anyone else NOT hate Jeremy?

I have actually always liked Jeremy Edwards for being a basically sensible bloke with a decent amount of self-awareness. A bit of a prat sometimes maybe, but smart enough to know when he was being a prat and honest enough to admit it afterwards.

I didn't think his routines were all that bad and definitely think there was more to come from him and from Darya. His acting credentials meant he wasn't just smirking like a loon through it all as well.

So I may be a lone voice in the Jeremy-hating wilderness, but I wanted to say, Jeremy - I for one am sad to see you go.

And oh yeah, I thought the minger thing was a fair cop

Yeah, I'm not a huge Jezza fan, but at the same time I don't get all the Jeremy 'haters' out there.

He seems a perfectly OK guy to me. He maybe was a bit cocky without the super skill (a la Ray) to back it up, but hey, he's an actor, he's used to putting himself out there and having a bit of self-belief.

I too think he had a lot more to give in the competition, however I was glad Ellery stayed as I think he has even more potential.

I was also glad that the lovely Donal (swoon!) escaped the skate-off!

I don't think anybody proclaims to 'hate' Jeremy at all. That's far too strong a word.

He just rubs a fair few of us up the wrong way. He seems to love himself too much and that's not endearing.

I was very pleased he went.

Lol, I didn't mean that they literally hated him, I meant it more in a Ricki Lake Show guest style 'don't be a hater' type way!

Oh I see!

Well I most certainly did 'hate' Jeremy in that sense

He was the sort of contestant I was dying to see fall over

Lorelei Lee - Indeed you are entitled to your opinion, tbh didn't have the chance to love or hate him in Ricky Lake way.

Minger comment didn't go down well, other than that I had had high hopes for him as a nice bit of totty for the show!

Shallow? Me?

Shallow? Me?”

I can't remember what the 'minger' comment was, can anyone enlighten me....?

In the first show when he was introduced to Darya he noted that she was very beautiful then said something like - 'Thats good cuz no one wants to look at a minger'. I'm glad a few people noted the comment.

Jeremy is not a very likeable person he seems too full of himself and a bit of a knob to be quite honest.

I thought he was ok. I didn't thing he should have gone, I thought he showed potential.

TBH I can see how he could rub people up the wrong way, but I just took it all with a pinch of salt.

He could take the mick out of himself too.

'I've gone red' was very funny.

Ah, thanks, I must have missed that! Yeah, bit of a sexist comment, I must admit.

Still don't think he's as bad as some of those 'haters' () make out.

Well, yes, 'hate' is a strong word, but these shows do inspire strong feelings!

I think the 'minger' thing was a bit of a poor attempt at humour that fell flat, but nonetheless his point was valid - why would you want to stare at someone who's ugly when you're trying to establish skating chemistry with them? Or ever, for that matter?

This is not to say that looks are the only important thing or anything like that, but it's an undeniable fact that something attractive to look at is more fun to stare at for long periods than something that isn't

I don't hate Jeremy and I know that heavily edited VTs don't give us an accurate picture of any of the celebs but, for me, neither he nor Gemma came over well.

Regardless of the minger comment (which, as I've said all along, may indeed have been an unsuccessful attempt at humour but which, unfortunately, actually appeared genuine) he also hasn't come across well on any of the interviews I've seen him on.

We can't all like all of the celebs. We're all individuals and we all warm to different people, that's all.

Thats how I perceive him too. Him and that Will Mellor he worked with on Hollyoaks.

I agree the minger comment may have been an attempt at humour that fell flat. I totally disagree that looks bare any relevance on forming a chemistry with someone. If it were me, I'd prefer my partner to be warm and patient not stunningly good looking.

I remember Jeremy on Celeb Big Brother and he was a bit of a knob on that too. He was on the series that had John McCrirrick and Jackie Stallone so he wasnt the biggest idiot in the house but even on that he came across poorly.

Also, on Sunday when his scores were revealed he looked quite unhappy with his lower marks where as Ellery took his lower marks on the chin. Thats why Jeremy wasn't liked and hence voted off.

Absolutely! When Phillip said to Ellery that he's twice the size of Jason and is there anything he wants to say to him, Ellery just replied that he'll take Jason's comments on board and try to improve. Jeremy, on the other hand, thought he had given an excellent performance and took offence when Jason said otherwise. And Jeremy kept on whining - he was still whingeing about it the next day when he was on This Morning. As I said previously, I don't hate Jeremy but he certainly hasn't done himself any favours.

That's a Rugby player for you, no arguing with the ref, or you're off.

i've always liked him, but his comments since the show have put him down in my estimation. He's come across as a sore loser

I actually thought he came across exactly as he said - gutted that weeks of work had ended after only two performances, and frustrated that Ray was so much better than anyone else.

It's those people who grit their teeth while smiling and saying 'oh, the whole experience was so good, I'm sad it had to end so quickly' that always strike me as the sore losers

Neither like or dislike, he's always passed completely beneath my radar, and I was out of the room during his skate so can't give an opinion on that either
