Hi

I have just installed a Humax Foxsat HDR and notice that when on an HD chanel my volume goes really loud and it can't be adjusted with the remote. But SD channels are all fine.

My audio goes out via the optical toslink.

Anyone else got this problem?

Thanks
Mike

THe volume control wotks on the S/Pdif for mpeg stereo from SD but has no effect on DD from HD.

Watching a SD channel turn up the foxsat volume using the remote volume control until it's roughly as load as HD sounds. Turn down your amp volume to your normal listening level. Now when you switch to HD it should be the same volume.

Thanks for that. Humax support guy told me it should work and there is a problem with my box, but i suspected he was wrong. He asked me to return the box and I wont do that due to the time it will take to get a replacement.

Do you know why HD DD works this way?

Thanks again

Not sure why it works this way but do know that both the Foxsat-HD and Foxsat-hdr are the same, it's definetely not your box, as far as I know they all work like this.
