There is an interview with Roxanne Pallet in this week's New magazine and when asked if there is any rivalry between the skaters, she said no, but that someone's husband had apparently said he hoped that she (Roxanne) would fall over on the ice and that it really knocked her confidence.

She was too polite to say who it was because she didn't want to cause trouble but ive been racking my brains all day trying to work out who it is?

Jessica, Melinda and Colleen are all married. Does anyone want to hazard a guess?

Kevin is the last one who needs to hope misfortune happens to the other girls, considering Jessica is still the only girl to get scores in the 20s (twice).

Far more likely to have been Gemma's other half

Whoever said it is pretty petty really.

I hope none of them fall ever, it bloody hurts (I fell yesterday badly and hurt my knees).

I would very much doubt it would be Kevin as a pp said it not like Jessica has too much threat from most of the girls yet.

I would doubt it would be Melinda's or Coleens' hubbys as they are too mature. My guess would also be Gemma's OH and I can hope he was only joking.

But Gemma is not married, and Roxanne specifically says husband rather than partner or boyfriend.

They should be ashamed of themselves whoever they are.

Perhaps she said "husband" because she thought it would be more discreet?

Did you see Gemma when Roxy & Dan came out to skate on Sunday? I swear, if looks could kill...

If it's even true.

If she's too polite to name them why say it at all.

Yeah because Jessica is such lame duck on the ice that she needs Roxanne to fall over

If it's even true.

Exactly.

Whoever he is he should grow up and shut his mouth.
I cant see Melinda or Colleens husbands saying it,they seem nice guys.
that would leave Kevin but he wasnt there on Sunday was he?
Gemma isnt a particularly nice person so maybe she has a matching partner.

I think Gemma was making more of the competitive nonsense than Roxanne.

I wasn't impressed with the way she stood ringside when Roxanne was training - causing the latter to say "You're making me nervous," before she moved away.

Gamesmanship imo - and probably one of the reasons the public didn't take to her.

With her as partner Andrei didn't even have a fighting chance.

And people thought Chris Fountain was bad!

Actually, just to show what an unmemorable character she is, I'd never seen her before she took part in this, and when the crowd scene was shown, I thought 'ah great, Kyran's there' and didn't even notice she was sitting right next to him.

What was her name again?

Massive LOL at that picture. What the hell is going on there? Did she do that to just Roxy or everyone? If the former I cannot for the life of me fathom why her venom would be aimed at Roxy and not, say, Coleen or anyone else on her level that first week. They seemed friendly in rehearsals

Goodness knows. We saw her when Roxy came out to skate but we didn't see her when any of the others did.

She hyped up the soap wars - and came off 2nd best. Serves her right.

1. We can't be sure Roxanne made this allegation despite (or perhaps because of) it being in a mag interview.

2. If she did make it, we do not know how true it is. She may be relaying it in good faith, but not having read the article, it sounds like she's saying she was told about the comment secondhand. How reliable is whoever told her about it?

SHe could easily have finished clapping before everyone else, and was unlucky enough to have the camera catch her when she isn't looking to happy.

Exactly. Typical Roxanne behaviour though, talking crap as usual.
