Also moved T.V from the window end to the current wall end, which means i have to bury extra cables in wall at some point now. I will post photo soon. |

Here is photo of new setup, replaces 32inch crt, which took up masses of room. My centre speaker wouldn't fit in any cabinets (that didn't have glass doors on them), so had to go on top, thus lcd mounted on wall, using tiltable bracket.
Front shot of LCD/Cabinet. Didn't know if this would look stupid, floorstanding speakers on cabinet, but i get more storeage space this way, and the speakers frame the LCD well and obscure the wall mount from side angles, note subwoofer in left hand side, (not for hifi purists maybe, they will say it disturb the optical audio player or something, but i say the sub will rumble everthing anyway, plus it not cause any problems as all those speakers are weighing that stand down) I did have to cut out a section out of the stands rear panel to allow more space for ease of cable connection to the amp. http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/5...elcdtv3si8.jpg The wall mount was fairly easy to attach to wall after finding out the wall (modern 20 year old house), didn't have wooden studs, but was solid concrete blocks with plasterbord (2.5cm gap), attached using big globs of plaster at random intervals, so wasted £20 buying a stud wall finder. My advice, just test drill. Also the supplied plastic anchor plugs/screws were too small (due to 2.5cm gap behind plasterboard), so went and bought same only bigger and were/are solid. My 2 seat sofa is there now, better utilising the space. Note the DVD's stored/crammed on top of the hifi rack. http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/5868/zhomeoldqv3.jpg |
