I've placed an online order with Maplin and I'm wondering how long I'll have to wait.

Has anyone done this?

If so I'd very much appreciate any comments you may have on your experience.

I know of quite a few ppl who have ordered over the past weeks and it seems 1-2 weeks is about the right time to wait. I also know the buyers at Maplin and they are usually fulfilling orders as new stock arrives, or increasing the time-scale where they don't feel they'll meet demand, as they are having to play the same lucky dip game as every other retailer.

Why did you choose a dealer who chose not to reduce prices when VAT was reduced on Dec 1st?
My advice would be to cancel, tell them why, and go somewhere more honest.

they have them in stock in a lot of stores
