The screen protector on my iPod has become horribly scratched.

How do I go about removing the current one so I can replace it? It seems to be stuck tight.

Have you tried VERY carefully using a needle to lift the edge?
I suppose it depends whether it's a static-cling type or was a 'sticky' one.

don't use a needle any material that is harder than what your iPod is made of (ie metal) WILL scratch it... i know GamerGirl said do it very carefully, but all it takes is an accidental slip of the needle and you will regret it...

a slightly dampened wooden cocktail stick would be safer than a needle if you want to try picking very carefully under the edge

you might also try the heat approach with a hairdryer to soften the adhesive... (not too hot though... low heat setting... and don't hold it too close to the screen)

That is true, darkpaw, thanks...I just couldn't think of a safer alternative item to use but you came up with a solution

Have you tried sticking some sellotape onto a corner of the screen and slowly peeling it towards you ?

I've always used sellotape to remove screen protectors. Heating it up with a hairdryer is a good idea too.
