Removing a Screen Protector
The screen protector on my iPod has become horribly scratched.
How do I go about removing the current one so I can replace it? It seems to be stuck tight. |

Have you tried VERY carefully using a needle to lift the edge?
I suppose it depends whether it's a static-cling type or was a 'sticky' one. |

don't use a needle
any material that is harder than what your iPod is made of (ie metal) WILL scratch it... i know GamerGirl said do it very carefully, but all it takes is an accidental slip of the needle and you will regret it...a slightly dampened wooden cocktail stick would be safer than a needle if you want to try picking very carefully under the edge you might also try the heat approach with a hairdryer to soften the adhesive... (not too hot though... low heat setting... and don't hold it too close to the screen) |

That is true, darkpaw, thanks...I just couldn't think of a safer alternative item to use
but you came up with a solution

Have you tried sticking some sellotape onto a corner of the screen and slowly peeling it towards you ?

I've always used sellotape to remove screen protectors. Heating it up with a hairdryer is a good idea too.
