I'm having a strange problem with my sony svr-s500 PVR. On Film4 and ITV2+1, the picture is scrambled into a series of colored bands on the right hand side of the screen. Sound is OK. Even odder, Film4 works OK when the programme is in black & white. Other channels are OK.
Anyone any ideas what's wrong?

Go into the menu & change the screen size to 16:9. This will cure it.
Sony are aware. This is the only work around at the moment
