Micheal Underwood has had his nose put of joint by Todd

I was pretty suprised to see that article from Micheal on the front of DS. He seems pretty determined to slate Todd, despite the others saying what a nice bloke he is.

Remember last series where Micheal was the joker and had everyone in stitches with his comical routines? Even Jason found him ammusing, then he goes and breaks his ankle.

Now he's back, but has been totally upstaged by Todd's sheer awfulness and the hilarity of last weeks routine. Ive been disapointed by Micheal if I am honest. He is not as entertaining as he was last year. But that could be because Todd is funnier.

The other skaters could moan about Micheal being invited back onto the show. But they don't. So shut up Micheal. It will come back and bite you if you slag the others off.

I was thinking that.

I think we may be looking at the next person to be voted off.

I don't give much credence to stuff I read in papers I'm afraid Cookies&Cream. They tend to have their own agenda, put together snippets of conversations out of context and viola, controversy

I agree. I doesn't seem in character for Michael and Digital Spy got the info from the Daily Star, which says it all really.

Perhaps this is why Michael Underwood is having a go at Todd, simply because he know's if Todd out clowns him he will finally get voted out.

Underwood though should consider himself luck he even has this chance to appear on Dancing on Ice. By right he shoudn't because he has already undergone training twice before this series training started. And indeed things like this outburst may come back to haunt him.

It only takes the public to vote him into the skate off against a better but less popular celebrity and it's bye bye Michael. Conversely though given Michael is a GMTV man there will be the inevitable outcry of phoneline rigging

It's hardly slagging!

He could just have been asked a question and given an honest answer:
Quote:
“"Todd is nowhere near as bad as he is making out," Underwood told the Daily Star Sunday. "When the cameras are off he is gliding along the ice but then once the routine starts it's like he can't stay upright all of a sudden.

"He is definitely trying to play the clown and trying to fulfil the John Sergeant role."”

And perhaps Susie actually is worried about being injured.

Thinks look rather different if what Michael's quoted as saying is true. Why are people assuming it's false?

Because the source is the Daily Star. If it were somewhere more reputable, I'd take it more seriously.

Sure, but that cuts both ways.

If the article's so unreliable, it shouldn't be used against Michael either.

Do people truly believe anything written in the Daily 'Scar' or do they view it as an opportunity to stir up ill-feeling against any celebrity who isn't their personal favourite?

Just wondering

True.
The article does Underwood no favours though with his bitterness towards both Ray and Todd. Seems a bit rich coming from someone who competed last year so has had far more time on the ice. Of couse Daily Star may have twisted his words.

That's exactly what I meant. I think it's out of character for Michael to speak like that and the fact that it appeared in the Daily Star makes me doubt the veracity of it even more.

He needs to come out pretty quick and clarify things then.

The Daily Star may well have made it all up, or given a misquote, but he needs to come out and tell people that, because the way it stands it looks terrible.

Unfortunately, Daily Star readers probably believe it, so it's likely to rebound on him.

I know these newspapers are trash and I myself have never bought one in my life, but I find it difficult to believe they can make up this story from nothing, surely there must be some truth in it.
I am just finding it really difficult to believe that our press are that bad.

I don't have a source for this because I can't remember where I read it but there was something a while back showing how papers have been known to take quotes from a dozen different sources and then put them together to make a story out of them. It's all out of context so they can select the quotes to make their story as positive or negative as they want.

i was surprised too.
he's probably worried he might be in the skate-off or leave undeservedly at some point because the public favour todd over him.

If Michael even knows about the article, he may feel that no one will take it seriously. It's rare for anyone to bother to try to correct or clarify what appears in the Star.

I don't think Michael will be voted off, plus who ever has written the article may have twisted what has been said.

When a Big Brother HM is evicted on a Friday, there's usually an interview article in one of the Sunday tabloids.

The other Sundays have a similar article which they try to make seem like it's the new interview. Sometimes they even says their article is an "exclusive". Yet it's simply made up of quotes from other sources or from the press conference the evicted HM attends right after their eviction.

The thing I saw wasn't Big Brother related because I don't watch it and try not to read about it. It was something else, I only wish I could remember what.
