It was a bit forced tonight with the swimming moves... Last week was very funny but tonight didn't have the same effect...

Has Todd peaked

Yes they are. And it seems fourced. He could at least give the skating a try.

It seems as though the DoI producers have accidentally hit on something they did not expect to get - a celeb who is a talking point and who entertains cos he cannot skate. Now having realised his appeal are working too hard at keeping the appeal going. Making him appear at the end, references to him etc during the show.
Turning to the routine itself I thought the same as the OP after watching it. Last week's performance was a gem, but this week felt as though all were trying too hard to keep the "entertainment" side going. It didn't work for me I'm afraid.

He was funny last week but the moment has passed.

WEll they failed tonight. I think T & D lost the plot this week with Todd.

He cant skate, and he never will, but at least they could have given him some moves which wouldnt have looked so stupid.

The swimming thing is used in pantomime and comedy ice shows not in a dancing competition. And even then they didnt do it right.

Yeah I agree with you, they didn't even try to get him to skate

The novelty has worn off - Todd was just cringeworthy tonight.

Sadly, I have to agree. Todd's had his 15 minutes of fame, and it was great while it lasted, thanks Todd, but it's time to go now.

I think last week, it was unintentionally funny, this week, it was obvious what they wanted to do

You gotta feel sorry for Jayne and Chris, the guy isn't geniunely funny in a comedian sense nor can he skate at all so you've kinda got to wait for that accident waiting to happen and I think they're really trying, they aren't tossing him aside and focusing on the good ones, they are trying to produce routines for him and we can only hope they all have a laugh in training so it's all been for something, because this will probably be his last week.

A bit unfair on his professional partner who no doubt is putting a shift in trying to improve his skating ability, i bet she,ll be glad when they are voted out.

I do feel for Susie, she deserves better.

I don't believe it's unfair on the professional. It's not as if she's been let down in a professional skating competition by her partner.

Susie is dancing with a novice. Next series she might be given a celebrity with more natural talent.

It's the luck of the draw - they all know what to expect.

Agreed, it's not been her choice to be part of the comedy duo, hope they get voted off tonight and we get to see her skate with Andrei as a special treat

That performance of his was just terrible. So embarrassing to watch and not at all amusing. This is my first year watching DOI and I really hope my enjoyment of it is not spoiled by the public voting to save Todd "because he's entertaining and that's what the show's about" I don't find him entertaining myself, he's just a cringeworthy embarrassment to himself and his unfortunate skating partner.

Things seem to be going the same way they did with John Sergeant on Strictly. Only difference is John had more charisma. He was still an utter joke though.

Yes.

Last week was hilarious. The planned and the seemingly unplanned went hand in hand (or not, as the case may be) and I actually had tears rolling down my cheeks because I laughed too hard.

This week I just cringed. They're making a fool out of him. It's kind of embarrassing and largely unfair. They don't even introduce him properly anymore because he's that much of a joke. It's bordering on rude.

At least John Sargent tried although most of the time he was not good.

I dont think they are trying to make a fool of him. They have a couple of minutes routine in which they have to get him to do something. THey can hardly have him being draged around the ice for 2 minutes by his patern abnd he certainly is not going to be given any lifts of tricks to do. So what do you do with him?
