Poor Donal Was Severely Undermarked...!!!

Donal put his heart and soul into that performance.

He stayed in character from start to finish and the step sequences looked quite intricate at times.

Yes I know he fell, but I still believe his performance was worthy of 4's across the board.

Fingers crossed he survives. He's coming across well and is one of the few that's actually shown a fair degree of improvement.

I hope the fact he's relatively unknown doesn't work against him.

I completely agree! He was one of the best tonight. Asides from his fall, which was unfortunate, he was great.
But I think that even if he hadnt of fallen he would still have been undermarked as he isnt one of the faves

I agree Sid. I thought Donal should have got better marks. He performed well and whilst the fall was unfortunate, he recovered well from it.

Agreed, Sid.

I really like Donal, I think he's really trying. I'd be gutted if he went while Todd stayed.

I voted Donal anyway, as did a few others on here judging by the episode discussion thread, so hopefully he'll be fine.

Nice one

If I voted on DOI, I'd have done so for Donal.

[quote=Pint of Stella;30522406]Agreed, Sid.

"I really like Donal, I think he's really trying. I'd be gutted if he went while Todd stayed."

Yes, he deserves credit for working so hard, recovering so well, and for actually dancing!

He was drastically undermarked, even with the fall.

If he goes while Dudd and No Hoper Nolan stay in it will be a travesty.

If I could vote I'd go Donal. He did a lot of solo skating and really gave it his all. He's putting so much work in and it was annoying the scores didn't reflect the performance- plus he wasn't put off by the fall; just kept going.
Delighted Jason was shouted down by the crowd, hooray!

I agree i would have given Donal a 4 tonight. He went for it and took risks, his improvement is there for all to see despite the slip, thats why it will be a joke if Todd stays in and he went.

I agree with the OP. He showed the most improvement by far of all the contestants. Severely undermarked.

With you 100% on this one Sid, I thought Donal was great tonight - he really gave it some and apart from one little tumble, really came over well; and skated pretty fluently.
Actually had a little shout at the TV when the scores came out!

So did our entire houshold Miss M!

Very disappointed with the marks and comments

I totally agree with you on this I thought he done really well considering his stumble and his marks should have been a lot higher than they were. I also think Ellery was undermarked too & both Colleen & Zoe were over marked.

is it just me who thinks Donal is morphing into Donald Sutherland....?

i'd have given him a 3.5, taking into account his fall

Was entertaining, skating had improved, recovered really well from the fall, and looked gorgeous in that suit! Definitely should have had better marks.

I thought he was vastly improved tonight and deserved better marks. Not high marks necessarily, but certainly better marks.

I am so glad I found this discussion. I thought it was just me who felt that he was undermarked!

I agree, I thoroughly enjoyed his performance. Good to see him getting up and persevering despite the early on set back.

I normally don't agree with with the 'baying mob' antics of reality show crowds but Jason deserved it tonight for his scores. Really hope the public get behind Donal tonight.

Not now!

Not a coincidence, I think, that his lower marks came from the judges who know (relatively) little about skating. Technique wise, I thought he was miles better than last week despite the fall and his performance was light years better! (Okay I'm exaggerating a little now but still...)

I'm in serious danger of taking a vehement dislike to Zoe Salmon despite her undoubted potential, simply because Ruthie Henshall appears to be marking from somewhere in her small intestine.

Must not let this happen. It is not Zoe's fault.

His performance was okay but nothing special.

I think all the men were undermarked and apart from Jessica the girls were over marked. The men all danced solo at least part of the time. Coleen, Melinda and Zoe all clung to their partners throughout but still wobbled. Wasn't Zoe given a 'free pass' last week despite her stumble based on her recovery so why wasn't Donal.

OK rant over

I was glad the Blues Brothers fans of Donal shouted over Jason's ramblings tonight!!!

Aww I'm pleased he's been kept in!!!!
