his cheeky chappy personality, his smiling and much more...

Thanks for coming back this year and making it even better. I think he is very brave to get back on the ice

as i said on the other thread unfortunately i think the reason he went was because he sold his story to the daily star. Its front page
Its a shame he went

I'll miss Michael too and it's a shame that he's gone when there are less able skaters still in, but I'm glad Melinda was given a chance because I think she's pretty good & can go further.

What the paps say shouldn't matter....

Michael was probably the most entertaining contestant this year, and gave my second favourite performance tonight (after Roxanne).

He shouldn't have been voted off..... shame on the GBP!! (can we vote them off instead?... )

I tended to agree with the judges that Melinda had the edge in the skate ooff and she had the added handicap of crap music to perform to. I think as well Michael left the big lift out of the skate off.

Er...he wasn't even the ninth most entertaining contestant this year!!!!

He stood out last year amongst duller stars. But this year he was out-clowned by Todd and there was no point him being there.

Except he could do the comedy AND could actually pull off some pretty good skating moves. And he was improving. Which I count as entertaining.

He did do well tonight, especially getting over his nerves after dropping Mel earlier. I would have chosen Melinda to stay as I really like her, but skating wise I couldn't have said one was better than the other.

I think you're probably right - although its a shame if that is the reason he went.

The GBP really prefer losers to nice people who have a modicum of talent and who aren't drama queens!

Michael was sooo much better than Resident Clown Todd and bumbling Coleen who goes on and on about her age.

Such a pity.

Can you please upgrade your taste and let the talent stay GBP? For once!

I totally agree, Michael was one of my favourites last year, so I was really pleased to see him back again this year. He shouldn't have been in the skate off in my opinion, neither should Melinda.
I think he worked really well with Melanie and I believe they had so much more to give.
He seemed to be a real nice guy, and just enjoying the whole experience.

I also will miss Michael, he and Mel had a great partnership and he had improved so much after starting out like the next Andy Peters last year.

I also think the judges got it WRONG between him and Melinder in the Skate-Off. She had made the obvious mistake in her first performance of not getting the lift up, so when she achieved that second time round it was an obvious improvement.

As Jane and Chris said about Michael, he didn't do anything wrong first time round, he just needed to give the same performance, which he did. He was better than Melinder both times, but because she improved something really noticeable some of the judges prioritised this.
