HDR front panel - blue or not?
All the pictures I've seen of the HDR show a very distinct blue on the front panel, particularly to the left. The one I bought a few days ago hasn't got a hint of blue on the front panel (except for the light). Have Humax changed the design, or are they all like this? I'm not complaining. Far from it, the almost black front banel goes much better with the rest of my kit.

Never seen any with a hint of blue, all are black as far as I know.

This is a issue I raised with Humax before launch when the images were released. There is a slight blue tint to the front panel, but nothing like the official images show. I've been promoting the unit with a photoshopped black front to avoid confusion! Humax should really have changed this before launch, but it was too late by then, the packaging etc was ready!

As an aside, I left the inner protective coating on. Having read on this forum how difficult it is to remove, I wondered whether it was meant to be removed. I decided to leave it on unless I had trouble with the remote. I haven't, so it's still there. Bob_Cat, if you're there, would you care to pass a comment as to whether the film over the display should be removed or not? |

It's only difficult to remove because it's hard to get an edge to start.

I find the films on them too flush...it's getting to a point where I'm having to advise customers that they have protective film and not to panic thinking they've received a scratched box! They need little tabs on the edge to peal off, but as awo1949, makes you think whether they want you to keep on.
