Anyone noticed the updated O2 Simplicity Tariffs?

http://shop.o2.co.uk/sim-only-simplicity

300mins and 600 tx unlimited o2-o2 calls - £14.69
600mins and 1200 tx + one choice of bolt on - £19.58

The 12month deals have also been topped up with extra mins & tx

Can't wait to get off Vodafone, was going to switch to the £15 deal anyway. Nice sweetener. Those o2 mins are going to be really useful.

Inclusive MMS and Free Voicemail helps too.

The 12 month contracts are sim only. (Still a pretty good deal though if you dont want a new handset)

Does anyone have any idea whether this will mean those ALREADY on the Simplicity Online 15 will AUTOMATICALLY get the extra 100 mins and 200 texts ??

It should change over automatically the day before your next billing date but I would request it anyhow just to make sure it happens.

Thanks for the update.

Every now and then, they seem to randomly double the amount of minutes and texts I get.

In December for example, I had 1200 minutes, 2000 texts and unlimited internet, for £20.

Mines just updated this morning, got 800 mins (600 mins + 200 mins any network anytime bolt on) and the usual 1000 texts so seems it's not being given automatically to existing customers.

I would call them and ask for it, I know when they added the free O2 to O2 calls, I didn't get them until I asked.

I would rather they got their network working properly.... we all used to be with o2 but all moved over as some people wanted the iphone etc....

All of us have problems, try and send a txt n you get the retry screen every so oftern, that and at peak times despite having a full signal, not being able to dial out....

We never had these problems with T-Mobile... that and they seemed to have better coverage of Nottingham, even in the city centre you get patchy 3G signal with o2....

No - I've just phoned them and had to upgrade to the new tariff. Took 5 minutes. Everything stays the same, you just get the extra allowance - but it doesn't start till your next billing date.

Oh, and you can take advantage of o2 treats on top, and get more minutes!
