High Altitude: failed to record 2 weeks running

The HD-R has failed to record this program for the last 2 weeks. It is shown in media but says not recorded: problem unknown.

Has anyone any ideas?

The first episode was cancelled I believe, and was allegedly re-shown this Sunday. However, I have it on series record on a Topfield freeview box and also failed to record it, even though it's in the timer list still. So most certainly a broadcast problem, not a Humax one. I might ring them up. It's on iplayer, so I have no idea what the problem is.

I set this to 'series record' before the first episode was broadcast.

I am currently watching the first episode but have no others in the folder.

I checked the schedule and there is one more to be recorded on the 8th Feb if i recall correctly so i'll see what happens then.

Can;t wait for iPlayer functionality on the Humax HDR, hope it includes recording capabilities so anything like this that is missed can be 'back saved' and the holes filled in so to speak!

Cheers

Possibly something to do with the thinner air at that height

I have exactly the same problem. The first week there was no sign of anything. The second week I got a zero minutes recording and a "failed to record, no reason."

I am wondering if it's going out later than scheduled. I have had zero minute recordings before accompanied by the full recording and I know that one of these was the first Ski Sunday which was delayed by the snooker.

Sounds like 'High Altitude' is the new 'Click'.

If there are not so many repeats of High Altitude, then a repeat timer is needed...

It's not just Click, I haven't been able to series link record any programme on the BBC News or BBC Alba channels for the past 3 weeks. Interestingly, both these channels are on Astra 2A, Transponder 13, so it's probably a transponder issue. I have flagged this up to Freesat and am awaiting a reply!

For the record (no pun intended) i had a failed recording of some description of a High Altitude episode, having set series record before the first episode (see my post above). I hope it gets resolved as i quite enjoyed the first episode i got to watch.

Resurrecting this thread, check your series record! By chance noticed my recording icon had vanished, my series record had deleted itself. It's never happened before with any other program.

I think it's there on the red button/sports multiscreen, looped all week if you've missed one and want to catch up. Still - should record in the first place!
