iPod Touch update
Could anyone advise how long the latest update should take please, it seems to have been downloading forever and there is no way of telling how much it has installed, or how much more there is to go .... *confused*

It shows up for me in downloads and gives an estimate of space, download speed and time remaining...look there?
It's about 200mb, so will take a while to download depending on your speed. |

if it is still downloading in iTunes then that means it is only downloading, you will know when it starts to install as a box pops up on screen saying updating iPod (or something on them lines) and your ipod will show progress of updating and not the usual springboard with icons.
The download in iTunes will take as long as your connection allows it to take, it is only limited by your download speed. |

I think one of the reasons that it seemed so slow was that the battery also decided to charge up!!
When it finally finished 'downloading' and charging, the details on my Touch profile had altered to read 'new version 2.2.1' so I guess it did what it set out to do ... thanks again for your responses. |

This software update was a godsend for me; Safari is now much more stable, I've managed to use it for over 15 minutes without it crashing, loading 'heavy' web pages as well, so it's all good. My Lossless songs don't skip when played back now either
