New HDR no BBC news
Just got the last Foxsat HDR from my local Argos. Plugged in, one LNB feed and no loopthroigh as yet. I have done a freesat scan and non freesat scan. I seem to have most channels apart from those on the BBC news transponder. All of the services on Transponder 13 11.954 Horizontal (BBC) - South Beam seem to be missing. Any ideas would be welcome

Diagnostics tuned to CH 200 shows 100% signal and quality on my setup. What do you get on a manual scan on 11953 H ? |

I get 85% strength and 0% quality. I wonder why its only this transponder giving me grief

Yes I have a home network but only a wireless G. I have turned that off along with my wireless phone system but still no Txp 13. I am wondering if that was the only free to air service in that band then I may have an LNB problem. I haven't used this antenna for some years now.

Sounds like either interference as Graham said or a dish misalignment problem. |

The strangest thing happened, I did a factory reset for the second time. After the scan, I went to channel 200 BBC News and after about 20 seconds it came on and so did the other missing channels. Signal quality 90%. Lets hope things become more stable when I install my quad LNB

It's possible that you have water in your cable or LNB connector and/or your dish is not as well aligned as it used to be.

I had a similar symptom with an all NEW DIY setup (in another thread here) ie about 90% of the channels but not all of them.
Solved it for myself by moving the coax (first of 3 to be installed) to another LNB outlet but think it might just have been a poor screw into the first LNB outlet but reckon I might still benefit from tweaking the dish alignment. MKD |
