So I don't get caught out on the Spain vs England game next week, if ITV don't send the Start Programme signal, I was looking to set it up as a manual record.

I've tried this two ways without success :-
[LIST=1][*]Go to the Guide and select the programme with OK, and choose the HD option & then Record. This then shows up with the HD flag in the Schedule and the Guide. Then go into Edit, and change nothing but the start/end times and OK out of it. Then, in the Schedule and the Guide entries, the HD Flag has gone.[*]Go to Schedule, pick the blank entry at the end, set it all up manually, but it only lets you pick ITV1 London, no option to set HD or Red Button. Again, in the Schedule, & Guide, the recording slot is there, but no HD Flag.[/LIST]Is there no way to set up a future manual record on the ITV HD Red Button service, or am I missing something?

If only ITV HD was a separate channel

I guess that by changing the times that the red button data channel is not available when you start recording so it fails

Recording ITV HD can only be done using the Alternative Instance Info (scheduling from the EPG) or using an Instant Record.

Interesting theory, but does not seem to be totally accurate. i.e. I just tried it again from the Guide, and editing the times so that they were 1 minute "inside" the broadcast times (so that the "red button data channel" IS available), but it then still loses the HD flag.

I guess you must be right, then. If I'm out, I'll have to teach the cat do to an Instant Record, lol !!
