The Judges scoring. What is it based on?

Is it based solely on the celebrities performance or both the celebrity and the professional together?

Because I was watching Fred and Melinda's Macarena (again)... and Fred made a mistake while doing the macarena while she didnt at that point.

So I was wondering, if the marks are based on the celebrity's performance only?

For some of the judges I suspect it depends on whether or not it is their favourite being marked, a bit like the remarks about counting or ignoring 'stumbles', 'recoveries', 'poor partnerships', solo skating'. So your guess is as good as mine

I suspect it's the celebrity that's being scored for the technique side of things but the connection between them and their professional partner comes into play for the performance element.
