Ipod Nano in washing machine one day after I buy it.

I came home today and got changed and took my clothes downstairs to be washed, watched TV and completely forgot it was in my pocket (it was so small). Was bored so I went to my room to get my Ipod....but a horrible feeling soon took me over, I run downstairs to be met by an angry mother and a wet Ipod.

Well that's just pissed me right off, the case is scratched up, the screen is full of water and I'm not even going to try and turn it on.

The protective case for it still hasn't shown up in the post and now I don't need it.

Try this:

When I washed my Shuffle I put it in an airtight box with some of those silica gel sachets you get with shoes and bags. I left it there for a couple of weeks. It does work now although the battery doesn't last very long now.

Good luck!

My daughter dropped hers out of her jeans pocket down the loo and my sons went round in the washing machine!!! Luckily I had taken out the extended cover from Argos and so got them replaced. Have you got anything like that?

They really should check the paper inside them that turns pink when water gets inside, that is what Argos did with my brother's returned phone.

Water damage is not covered in any warranty.

After trying to dry it out, it doesn't work properly. The battery dies seconds after disconnecting it and the back light in the screen doesn't work. Already looking into buying another one. Going to order it from Apple this time so I can get it engraved with something nice.

Only 3 Days is just not long enough for something like that.

I think there was another thread somewhere else on this site (might have been in the discussion forum) where a somebody put a Nano in the washing machine.

She dried it out and it all worked ok afterwards.
