foxsat-HDR crashed during recording and being switched on
Hi, the foxsat-HDR was recording BBC2 last night (while in 'standby' mode).
Upon switching on the box, the actual recording stopped, the guide was missing the current data (only showing programs starting in the next hour+) and most scary of all, the Media library was inaccessible. All scheduled recordings were missing as well (empty list). For a moment I thought that the entire drive crashed and all my recordings were lost. Although I did lose the actual recording (BBC2), upon restarting the device, the media library became available again, as well as the correct EPG. so it was not safe to start the foxsat-HDR while it was recording! Hopefully this can be resolved quickly. |

We also had a problem withh BBC2 yesterday afternoon /evening. We suddenly had a blank screen . We switched off the TV . The tv fired up into Freeview ok and then I tried the HDMi channel and the Sat picture was back again.
My initial thought was the Panasonic had failed , but my thoughts now are either my box had a glitch or it was a failure of transmission , I hope it was the latter. Perhaps others can confirm this unidentified occurence? I lost the signal the previous day due to a "snow bridge " building up between the LNB and the dish face , luckily my dish is located at a height of 6 feet , and i was able to brush it off. The message on the tv screen was "Bad or no signal". Full Signal was restored immediately the snow was brushed off . |
