I've had my father in law staying, he turned on subtitles - I turned them off but they keep coming back on, I've turned them off a dozen times and still they're coming back on.

Have you turned them off in the set-up menus? Because if you just press them off with the "Sub" button on the remote they will return because the default setting in the menus is on.

Well my sub titles only come on when using the 'pause live TV' facility.
They are not on at any other time.
I will, however, have another look through the menu.
Apart from this, and one other recent issue, I love the box Bob_cat.

Thanks bob_cat looks like he changed the menu default rather than just switching on for the program, didn't know you could do that.
