Foxsat Passion plus USB stick
Will the Foxsat let me record to USB so I can transfer the files to another Foxsat and watch the programme there?
Similarly for the Passion Plus Can I move files from the Passion Plus to a Foxsat and vice versa? |

Best way is to remove the internal hdd of both machines and install them in an external e-sata cradle. You can then swap discs with impunity and also access them directly on a pc using the cradles own usb port. Voids your warranty of course. |

Any foxsat-hdr will play them back from it's internal HDD if you can get over the transfer problems.

FYI the Passion + does not have an internal HDD.
Mind you can't imagine why the OP wants to spend around £600 to do this. Last edited by grahamlthompson : 08-02-2009 at 11:55. Reason: Extra info |

Opening poster has other housemates(!?) wanting to watch different programmes , but then wish theyd seen the one they hadn't seen and barred from entering opening posters mission control room
![]() (unless with tea and buns) Opening poster would go for 2xPassion plus if they did red button stuff, or would go for 2x Foxsat if they did USB transfer. Or one of each. Or wait a few more months |

Similarly for the Passion Plus Can I move files from the Passion Plus to a Foxsat and vice versa? It costs around £150.00. The £300 pound Foxsat-hdr (which is a twin tuner freesat+ pvr) has a 320Gb internal HDD, programmes recorded on this can be copied to usb but not recorded directly there. Once on usb any foxsat-hdr will play these back directly from the usb device. It seems likely that the OP thinks that a Passion+ and a Foxsat-HD have similar capabilities, they don't the Passion+ is pvr ready. |

OP had thought the Passion+ would record HD to USB flash drive?
The foxsat hdr - is that HD or just SD?
