Seeing that we are in the middle of the awards season…..

[SIZE=3]Welcome to the DMA’s (Digitalspy Music Awards) 2003.[/SIZE]

We need some nominations for the various awards, so if you could post your suggestions for each category, and I will make up a shortlist in a few days time. Only one nomination for each category please. Song included in the awards have to have been released after this time last year.

The Categories

Best Single
Best UK single release. Simple

Best Album
Best UK album release.

The “Please Stop The Ringing In My Ears” award
Best Live Act You Have Seen This Year

The “I Love You, Man!!!” award
Most beautiful song you have heard all year. The one you either want to cry at, or hug someone.

The “Aaaarrrrggggghhhhhhhhhh, turn it off” award
Most annoying/crap song of the year. The one you have to cover you ears and whistle over, to stop yourself hearing the monstrosity.

The “Difficult Second Album” award
The person/group that, against the normal odds, have pulled off a cracking second album

The “Straddling The World Like A Sheep Between My Thighs” Award
The biggest person/group in the world, not necessarily in record sales, but in general effect.

The “What have they been smoking?” award
Funniest/coolest single of the year.

The “Golden Parachute” award
Which ‘Reality TV monkey ™’, actually deserved the recognition they got this year.

The “Man…. That Rocks!” award
A good song by a usually crap artist.

The “Wheels Of Steel” award
Which DJ/VJ has entertained/ informed you the best this year?

The “Go Away You Muppet” award
Which artist/group do you wish would disappear in 2004?

The “Come on NME, kiss my arse” award
Which artist/group is going to be big in 2004?

The “Legend” award
Which artist/group from anytime period, should be inducted into the DMA’s Hall Of Fame?
