Teletext Extra is now updating listings again from TUTV capacity. I got 11 days worth of listings last night from Mux A.
I haven't bothered using Teletext Extra EPG for a while i might just give it a try later.

Teachers TV is closing, but will continue as an online service.

http://www.broadcastnow.co.uk/news/p...013626.article

An additional extract from the article:

In March, Ed Balls, secretary of state for children, schools and families (DCSF) axed the broadcast deals in place with Freeview, Freesat, Sky and Virgin in a bid to save the channel around £1m in carriage costs annually.

Hi atmroy, you might wish to post that in our terrestrial technical forum: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/f...splay.php?f=64 that covers hardware/software and "high definition technical matters."

Change: 24 hours a day on channel 87 until 30th June 2010. Then, a three hours a day service will be available "across an increasing audience, as and when digital switchover occurs" (press release)

Apologies if I've missed this elsewhere:

The EPG on my box is showing "Yesterday evening service starts 1 June. You will not need to rescan your box." (LCN12)

The listings show programmes through to 1am, which is as far as they go at the moment - but there is an hour's closure between 1800 and 1900.

Looking at the Yesterday website, the listings have been updated as well .

So now we will be unable to get Chuck, Enterprise, Warehouse 13, etc. in Wales? Why does Vigin 1 stop at 18:00 here?

It appears that today, Teletext Holidays has moved from D3&4 (Mux 2) to the SDN mux in Wales. This is now in-line with the rest of the UK.

TV News now appears to be on 24 hours a day. The channel is on air currently (rather than going off at 9am) and the EPG is full for 24 hours.

@Kevin1960: See posts 439 and 440.

@all users: If you would like to log any of the changes as they happen in the next couple of days, please state if you are in a Post-switchover region or a Pre-switchover region, especially if it is not apparent from the location descriptor in your profile. Some aspects of the channel line up and multiplex slots will vary depending on where you are. Thanks.

Looks live Dave Ja Vu is on the move from tomorrow - last two programmes on Dave have carried scrolling messages at the start advising Freeview viewers they will need to retune tomorrow.

Finally a reputable source mentions what's happening with regards to Al-Jazeera

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010...ch-on-freeview

Al-Jazeera English will air live from 6pm to 11pm daily on channel 89 on Freeview. Programming will be a mixture of live news and programmes from the company's studios in London, Washington and Doha.

No, you cannot chip your television set,
just buy a Freeview HD box or a Freeview HD Recorder box,
the recorder box will convert your television as well, as it has two tuners
