Change: TV News 2 (Mux C) has gone off air. One of my TVs shows "invalid service", other receivers may vary and may only show a blank screen. The LCN (90) is at this moment still active.

Change # 2 today: Upon retuning you should now get channel 87 via Multiplex C (Arq A), on air hours will be 5am-8am. The label is "COMMUNITY".

The "old" Community Channel - 24 hour BBC stream labelled "Community" is now LCN-less and may either disappear completely or get shunted to the 800s, depending on your receiver. A message advising of the changes appears on the "old" Community Channel stream. You may need to do a complete Factory Reset on some models to clear the "old" Community Channel stream. See Retune Advice Clinic thread for advice on retuning or PVR subforums for PVR retune help. No retune queries in the changelog please!

The dave ja view stream is still on waltham but with no rogue. Annoying when you are trying to work out which to zap.

Change: Further to post 451, the stream used by TV News 90 has been removed completely. The LCN has now been removed, and your receiver will either delete the channel when retuning or automatically remove it off the channel list.

Finally a reputable source mentions what's happening with regards to Al-Jazeera

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010...ch-on-freeview
I've just retuned my boxes and TV News is still showing as being on LCN 89 5am to 8am, so presumably, another re-tune will be needed tomorrow to get Al-Jazeera.

Depending on how Arqiva (multiplex operator) do the change, its possible to have 89 relabelled Al Jazeera, change the MHEG to an Al Jazeera one and make the channel appear at 6pm tomorrow, as it appears to be going on the same multiplex as TV News on 89 was.

The changes will be logged here on the Changelog.

I've just tuned in to the CNN Channel. Its after 12am and just noticed that CNN is airing at its fully freeview capacity hours. This is sure great news.

Edit: Just noticed the Off-air caption has just appeared but the Jewellery Channel is not on air yet. Changed at 00:05 BST

They seem to have technical problems with joining the the Jewellery Channel tonight. CNN keeps popping on screen and off again. They cannot make there mind up.

EDIT: eeeks. Jewellery Channel just appeared for 60 seconds and now CNNI just aired back on air. Whats going on.

Edit 2: The Jewellery Channel is back on again. Does anyone think its something to do with the retunes happening later today.

LCN89 TV News has had its LCN removed after it closed at 8am. ie if you retune you will lose it if you haven't already. I recommend a retune of Mux D after 6pm when LCN89 should be allocated to Al Jazeera.

As mentioned elsewhere, after the 6am-8am slot Russia Today continued broadcasting 24/7. It is using the old Dave ja vu slot.

We don't know what has happened to Big Deal.

Update: TV News is still in the NIT and SDT at LCN89 (like SuperCasino) but all its streams have been removed. Previous info was wrong.

Dave ja vu is showing a Mheg caption on Mux D for those who have yet to retune.

COMMUNITY appeared this morning on Mux C from 5am-8am but no details of its timeshares yet.

Change: LCN 89 morphed into Al Jazeera Eng (From forum member DVB Cornwall)

Discussion Thread: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...1285870&page=2
You should not need to do an additional retune, 89 should become Al Jazeera from TV News, some devices may have the wrong label, in which case you'd have to retune to get the correct label.

Change: Rocks & Co LCN40, relabelled Rocks & Co1 (From forum member Danieluk2010)

In addition to the above:

Change: Big Deal (LCN 32), currently only showing two hours of teleshopping - the actual Big Deal Quiz finished ages ago, has moved from Mux D (Arq B) to Mux C (Arq A), still showing its on from 10pm, which has been wrong for ages.
If you've retuned already, I wouldn't bother for this one...

Source: Direct Observation: Waltham & Sutton Coldfield TX

Linked to recent retune for Dave Ja Vu.

Unknown.

But best to discuss in the Big Deal Thread: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s....php?t=1269159 which I have resurrected to keep the threads on topic.

OK, a lot of minor changes. Here's a summary of them all, and where to go to discuss the various aspects. Thanks to all who have reported changes.

25 Dave Ja Vu - Moved from Mux D (ARQ B) to Mux C (Arq A). Viewers who have not retuned will have a caption telling them to retune.
> Dave Ja Vu Discussion Thread

32 Big Deal - Moved from Mux D (ARQ B) to Mux C (ARQ A) Broadcast hours: 0400-0600
> Big Deal Discussion Thread

35 Virgin 1+1 - The MHEG caption that appeared on this channel for anyone who hadn't tuned or for those with receivers that don't automatically retune was removed. All residual data relating to this channel on Mux D (ARQ B) have now gone. Virgin 1+1 closed when Yesterday expanded its hours a month ago.
> Virgin 1+1 Discussion Thread [Old Thread]

40 Rocks and Co 1 - Relabelled with a "1". Indicating a future Rocks and Co 2? Broadcast hours unchanged at 1300-1800, Mux D (ARQ B), Part of the Timeshare slot with e.g. Create & Craft & Al Jazeera English.
> Rocks and Co Discussion Thread

85 Russia Today - Now 24 Hours a day, using the slot vacated by Dave Ja Vu on Mux D (ARQ B)
> Russia Today Discussion Thread

87 COMMUNITY - Moved from Mux B (BBC) to Mux C (ARQ A) in pre-switchover areas. Label changed from "Community" to "COMMUNITY".
In post-switchover areas, re-appeared on channel 87 on Mux C (ARQ A). New broadcast hours: 0500-0800. Viewers who haven't retuned or don't have receivers that automatically retune in pre-switchover areas will see a caption advising them to retune.
> Community Channel Discussion Thread

89 Al Jazeera English - New on Freeview. News channel based in Doha, with bulletins from London. Mux D (ARQ B). Broadcast Hours 1800-2300. Replaces TV News.
> Al Jazeera English (AJE) Discussion Thread

90 TV News 2 - Mux C (ARQ A). Channel removed. Part of a temporary 4 month slot that was originally shared with Ideal Extra (that closed a month ago on Freeview). TV News may appear again in the future, according to hints on the last edition of TV News.
> TV News 2 Discussion Thread [Old thread]

96 Babestation - Mux D (ARQ B). Hours curtailed. New start time: 2300. Reason: Al Jazeera English now timeshares in that slot between 1800 and 2300.
> Discussion Thread detailing an OFCOM ruling that these channels should only air between 0000-0530. The reduction in hours could be a phased reduction relating to the new rules, which apply from September.

106 DirectGov - Mux 2 (D3&4) Also in Freeview Lite areas. This service has now been discontinued. Government advice is still available via the direct.gov website.

Directgov is broadcasting a holding page announcing its closure, but without LCN. Therefore any retune of Mux 2 / D3&4 will lose it.

Change: BT 1 and BT 2 on LCN 41 and 42. In pre-switchover areas on Mux B. Placeholders for the new BT Vision Sky Sports service, which will run alongside the existing DTT/Freeview service.

I don't understand why BT channels are appearing on freeview? This is where i get confused about Sky sports 1 & 2 being on "freeview"

The same reason Top Up TV channels are on the EPG. (G.O.L.D or ESPN for example).

Freeview, BT Vision and Top Up TV all use the Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) platform and hence the same EPG and channel numbering system. BT Vision also uses IPTV.
The Freeview Changelog will record changes that viewers will notice with a Freeview TV or Box, such as the appearance of a new channel number in lieu of a generic DTT changelog, although in such instances, the Top Up TV and BT Vision subforums will carry info on the service/encrypted content.

To avoid taking the changelog off topic, this may be worthy of a separate thread.

Do you all realise how silly you sound with this 'Source: Direct Observation' nonsense? What would non-direct observation be?
