so how come my freeview box dose not have it no more. i think that my box dose change's without me having not always having to do so. i should also say that LCN 99 has also been removed now
LCN99 is also a Mheg caption called ADULT Section.

I think your box has trouble with channels changing from video to data only.

i have jest done a rescan & DOVER as had both LCN83 & LCN99 removed & no i have not got mux's C/D missing as i still have skynews. so looks like where you are has not yet had them removed or you mite need to rescan.

I get my data from looking directly at the SI with TSReader, so it is correct for the London region. It is possible that the Dover transmitter has differences being in the Meridian region, but LCN99 is now part of the new Adult regime as a warning caption, and I would be very surprised if LCN99 wasn't present from Dover.

Possibly your box doesn't like two different channels with the same service name.

You don't rescan TSReader. It shows you everything being transmitted. Can you get LCN92? It is the same as LCN99 now; just a caption.

he-he!

All are present and correct from Mendip, so michael21 is mistaken as far as Mendip is concerned.

83 Still on at Sutton Coldfield & Waltham.

May I refer to post 2 and post 59 of the Changelog regarding acceptable sources of information. If you see a change you should state the transmitter you are receiving off. It is good practice for it to be verified by someone on another transmitter. If a forum member is in doubt, they should first post in the relevant thread about the channel concerned. Once verified it can go in the Changelog. Stream readers like TSreader are reliable but may not take into account regional variations. Members must be aware of the difference of a channel being removed and the LCN being removed and a channel vanishing because of local reception/user set up issues. This will help keep the Changelog a useful tool to visitors and members of Digital Spy. Thanks.

LCN20 has been renamed Channel One in the SI in the London area. Some boxes will need rescanning; others detect the new service name automatically.

Yesterday LCN713 Kiss changed its caption from the yuccy blue to a cool black/white with less text.

LCN715 Magic has changed the graphic part of its caption, removing the London reference and adding "more music less talk".

Had my Freeview box about 4 years, now have it in the bedroom as have new TV with built in Freeview downstairs. Don't watch the TV in bed very much, but did notice a while ago that a message came up saying there were going to be changes and not to turn off the power (which I normally do) But now can't get Freeview at all, the red light stays on the box and can't get it to change to green ie switch to Freeview channels. Don't know which transmitter I use but live in East Anglia. Any advice welcome.
Thanks

Not sure what the problem is, but you may wish to re-post in the specialist Digital Spy Technical forum: For discussion of set top box hardware and software, reception issues,...

Change: LCN 83 Sky Sports News has been removed from the EPG today. The service closed a few weeks ago. A rescan will remove the service from your line-up if not done automatically.

Also: Changes on LCN 88 (Teachers TV): The data stream with the MHEG text caption has gone, the LCN is still reported to be active by forum members, so that the channel is still in the line up, but blank.

Sources: changes spotted by Ray Cathode. Verification by a516 / drumtochty / Ruth2010. Sky Sports News channel 83 omitted by DMOL on official channel list - www.dmol.co.uk [official source].

LCN88 Teachers TV has now been removed from the NIT and SDT, meaning that its placeholder status is no more. It has gone to meet its maker.

Today tv news has launched a placeholder on freeview channel 90, a retune may be required to get this.
