I see that a placeholder for TV News has appeared on LCN 801 - any clues on this one?

Selecting text from one of the 3 $ky channels on Mux C accesses the Mux C text stream complete with quarter screen video. Not sure how that will pan out when the stream is closed. Also the yellow button has been modified on the Mux C version to work with Sky3+1. As already noted the mux D Sky Text stream has the video replaced with a sky caption and there is no yellow button facility!

Gay Rabbit has 'hopped' up to LCN 103, I think from 107.

Forgot to post it appears 1 hour and 10 mins is now vacant on the create and craft stream as when I looked in on tv news early hours on the 12th it was still broadcasting from 6am-8am.
So I guess that now means 1 hour and 10 mins is vacant as babestation switched off at 4.50 and tv news did not start till 6am |

Yes double checked again today! Tv news started at 6am in there new mux D slot. So its on 6am-8am for a fact! So although it moved mux it has not changed it times of broadcast and the create and craft stream has a bit of dead air now where the stream is switched off.

Just noticed something else, the mux C version of tv news is still on the go, so at the min its been broadcast from MUX C without LCN and MUX D at the same time.
Obviously sometime in the near future the MUX C version will close. |

Yes that parts right, although I would not bank too much on that site, just looking at it now ray has got the tv news start time as 5am on there which is incorrect. I know for a fact it is as I viewed the program myself today and the mux D tv news did not start till 6am.
He will more then likely edit it later when he finds out its wrong! ![]() ![]() Ray Cathode has worked very hard with that site, and it contains some brilliant information not found elsewhere. I'm getting fed up with seeing you attempting to slag him off at every opportunity; it's becoming incredibly annoying to read. If you think you can do any better, go off and create a site of your own. Moreover, since they used to broadcast from 5am-8am when on Mux D before, it's a very fair assumption to make. Ray Cathode appears to me to have a life outside of DTT, so cannot stay awake until 5am to see if TV News starts broadcasting at that time or not. |

Of course - assuming it IS wrong, you wouldn't want incorrect information out there, so I don't see what's so funny about him editing it.

And by the way it is wrong because like I say I viewed the show so it is 100% for a fact an incorrect start time that ray has put on the site as it did not start till 6am. His 5am start whats listed on his site did not happen. |

You may not directly, but your general attitude seems to be ridiculously competitive towards Ray, and I don't really see why. Things like documenting the DTT platform in the UK should be about collaboration, rather than pointless competing.
A much better response would have been something like: "Ray, you've got the start time wrong for TV News - it actually starts at 6am, when your site has it listed as starting at 5am". Instead you use this small mistake to imply his entire site is inaccurate and you shouldn't trust anything he says, which is just not on - as well as implying that correcting mistakes that people point out is a stupid thing to do which deserves laughing at (assuming I've interpreted your tone and your emoticons correctly, which isn't always easy online as you may or may not know). |

If it seams that way I apologize. Was just attempting to point out the site had a error on it, I suppose I could have worded it better.

Jesus - what a fractious lot you are in this thread. The equivalent Freesat is much more genteel (I have both services). Just stick to what has changed.

On the question of errors, DMOL have rather a lot at present, still showing LCN190 ADULT Bluekiss as present for instance. I suspect TV News still being active on Mux C is an Arqiva error; normally mux moves leave the old location with a Mheg caption only but without LCN. I suspect the old TV News has been left active because the old Sky News has also been left active. Both are unusual.
I am extremely grateful for all the appreciation of my website but it is only an extension of my own records and is not guaranteed 100% correct. I only get data from the London area which can be a problem. I normally make corrections once a week. If I ever get more time I would like to make it more functional and professional looking and include more technical details especially those that are not listed elsewhere. |

By the way, how do you collect your data? I assume a capture card and some special software...
