The old Challenge didn't show up on 795 here (in Scotland), just on 800.
Funnily enough, I got it on 795 (in Scotland). I was surprised because I don't think I've ever seen anything in the 700's before.

Yes you have, the radio channels are in the 700s! Seriously though it was a strange epg no. to use like they were trying to avoid the 800s but still wanted something near that area, which leads me to wonder if DMOL actually ever sanctioned it's use?

The Challenge placeholder is back on LCN795, and this time it actually has a caption!

However, I can only assume that it's a modified version of the Welsh offair caption, as it claims that Challenge will be back at 6am, then contradicts itself by saying that if you have lost Challenge, you will need to retune.

LCN108 Sky Text has had a makeover. Emphasis is now a) Challenge b) Holidays c) Advertising d) Very limited News, Sport & Weather. The text is also available from LCNs 11, 46 & 82 (Pick TV, Challenge & Sky News).

Pick TV+1 caption removed leaving LCN44 as just a placeholder with a NIT entry.

Yes, I do this to keep my website up to date, but I do it by automatic scan.

Yes I spend too much time on it.

Remember that this is a changelog thread for changes to the Freeview platform not really for chat. But I have transgressed as much as anyone else in the past.

LCN97 ADULT PARTY has changed its hours back to midnight-7am from 3am-7am. It has taken hours from LCN32 Big Deal which has lost Psychic TV. PARTY is back to its original arrangement taking downtime from two separate streams.

Big Deal has changed its hours from midnight-4am to 3am-5am showing teleshopping with the purchase of one additional hour. This is shown on the Freeview EPG but some offair captions are now inaccurate. There is a 3 hour vacancy on the stream from 5am-8am where Daystar used to be. All the changes are on Mux C / Arq A.

193 ADULT Babestn2 is on air after 5am with a moving caption and music, I assume this is using the ex-Daystar capacity.

No Babestn2 uses the Create & Craft stream. Daystar capacity is vacant currently.

LCN795 the "illegal" Challenge caption has been removed. The LCN still exists as a placeholder for the moment.

Er, it's always been 5am-6am, on the Create & Craft stream. More interesting would be if it was on before 5am.

I wonder if we'll get a local MUX in the London area for channels like this? There should be the capacity as we currently have the 7th HD only one.

London (as well as many other major cities in the UK) are projected to get a local programming multiplex in the future. Details are on http://www.ukfree.tv/txdetail.php?a=TQ339712 under 'After switchover frequency notes'.

Hi. The full document relating to where local multiplexes could launch and which potential frequencies and radiation patterns could be used, is linked to in this post http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showp...9&postcount=74, part of a thread on the subject. UKfree.tv mixes fact and speculation, so be cautious before quoting it.

It would be appropriate to continue any discussion about new local muxes outside of the Changelog, as this is a specific, sticky thread.
