The Zone has appeared at LCN39 on Mux A / SDN in London complete with caption stating "Coming soon". It may not be available in Wales: reports please?

LCN795 Challenge placeholder on Mux A / SDN has disappeared.

I can confirm that 'The Zone' LCN39 has NOT appeared in Wales.

Pretty much a given that it's timesharing with CITV, then. Shame, I would have liked a real channel

I wonder what its hours will be? I assume 1800-0600...

The LCN47 Daystar caption has been removed; but Daystar still exists as a placeholder on Mux C / Arq A.

It's almost definitely replacing a stream used entirely for pay TV, so I wouldn't call that worse.

Maybe not worse, but it don't make Freeview any better, Ch 5 is a awful channel picture quality wise, be better to try and use the space to get better picture if it is possible.

They're not even on the same multiplex, so that's not possible. However, since this is the changelog thread, please continue this discussion in the discussion thread.

Not unless teleshopping and tv gambling are your thing.

A quick Reminder that some Muxes in some areas are changing on Tuesday Night and a Retune is needed on Wednesday Morning after 6am

Transmitters are

Sandy Heath

Switchover Stage Two will take place at

Tacolneston

Of course after the Retune you will be getting The Zone on Channel 39, a shame if you do not want it

And now Sandy Heath is back on air, it only took them a few minutes to do it, the switchover

Went off around 00:10 and back on air at around 00:18

This changelog has been traditionally used to log mux content changes - not transmitter changes. If folks could post in the relevant DSO threads that would help keep things tidy.

Correct.
Switchover & related retunes and frequency changes belong in the Terrestrial Technical subforum (broken down into various regional threads) so there is no requirement to cross-post in this subforum or in this Changelog. Please feel free to join in over in the Terrestrial Technical subforum.
DS mods have previously moved switchover related posts over to the technical subforum and deleted off topic posts on the Changelog.

Discussion and comments about Freeview and its channels can be made in the appropriate discussion threads and not in the Changelog.

Thanks for your support.

Are you a mod in hiding. If these posts need to be moved to the 'relevant place', wherever that is, fire off a request to forum support.

a516 did start this thread, so I think it is fair that he clarifies its intended use.
