A visit to the Wales news page on the BBC Website, item about digital changeover will show that here in Wales it appears we have to turn our aerials backwards to the transmitters!!!!

And you can find the item from BBC Wales @ http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/south_west/8193721.stm with the aerial pointing the wrong way.

Just to make posters aware that any Switchover related changes in your area can be discussed on the Technical Forums, where currently threads covering
Cumbria, Dumfries&Galloway and Isle Of Man
Redruth (West Cornwall / Isles of Scilly)
Caradon Hill (E Cornwall/W Devon/Plymouth)
Huntshaw Cross (North Devon)
Wales/Cymru
are live and ready for your input!

We're expecting quite a lot of changes on Freeview between now and the end of the year with Quest, the nationwide retune and the launch of Freeview HD: if you know of a change, please post the source - even if Direct Observation (but if online, link to it if possible, but don't extract whole paragraphs from material you do not have copyright to - see digital spy forum rules) and link to a discussion thread on the topic to keep the Changelog a log and not a discussion thread.

Thanks to all who contribute to the log!

That's not officially confirmed (SuperCasino's site may be wrong), nor has it happened yet (so shouldn't be in the ChangeLog). Discussion is occuring in the Quest Update thread (SuperCasino uses Quest's stream to broadcast)

Great idea for a thread.

Can I request that only changes announced by Broadcasters, Freeview, DMOL, DTG, Ofcom and Digital UK are posted here?

Amateur sites which can so easily masquerade as 'official' can spawn confusion and at times false information so please no pointers from them.

Thanks a516 for this.
Please note the above regarding sources of information on the Changelog - a suggestion that was agreed upon on page 1 of the log. Otherwise the Changelog risks becoming a rumour & speculation log - spoilt with spam style postings.

Hello. Your receiver has put the channels on multiplex C in the 800s. Perhaps a weak signal, or a duplication of signals from more than one transmitter. Try retuning again.

As this problem is off-topic - i.e. not relating to a change on the Freeview service being broadcast - if your problem persists, please re-post your problem on the Terrestrial Technical forum; Digital Spy's dedicated forum
"For discussion of set top box hardware and software, reception issues, and high definition technical matters."
and I'm sure someone will be able to talk you through your problem.

Thank you.
