I hate to say it but I agreed with Jason. It does look like Roxanne is going through the motions. Having said that that can be improved and her basic skating is getting better.

It would have worked better and looked better if they'd started off from a backward spiral into the headbanger

But Jason gives consistently low marks to all so does not make much difference, except Ray of course whose marks are well deserved.

Rozy doesn't have the skill level at the moment to be able to do that. She has bad leg lines and from that move into the headbanger requires the female skater to have incredible core strength and good lines. Roxy has neither at present. The floor is far safer for her to start.

If you compare that to Roxy's .... well there is no comparison.”

Suzanne did her first one from the floor but she had just been flung across the stage in the previous move and the transition was seamless. When the same routine turns up on the tour and in the later show routines like Music the headbanger starts upright and moving fast.

Both headbangers are at the end.

Clare did it that way from the start I think.

Thanks to the people who put them up. The youtubes from the show have a bad habit of being taken down by ITV so I would rather not post those links.

I know she hasn't at the moment, but i'm saying it would look better if they did start it off like that. Doing it from the floor looks like they stop, then start up again.

Yeah I totally agree there are no transitions with Roxy. Its one move ... pause ... next move .. pause. There is no natural flow to her routines especially when she is doing lifts.

Suzanne's first one in week 5 (are you gonna be my girl) does start on the floor but she's just been thrown accross the stage on her back and she just rolls onto her side and she's picked straight up by her ankles in one long seamless routine. Her headbanger went right up and down too and the low passes were very low.

The tour version of that dance takes out the floor slide and she does the headbanger from standing. I just posted a link to a reasonably visible version above.

sorry to say this but roxanne has not been undermarked at all. visually she is great but as far as skating ability is concerned........the choreography Dan and Roxanne do are not difficult and they rely purely on the lifts which is Dans forte

It was Clare. She was miles better than Suzanne. She even did a back flip on ice one week.

Um did you watch last week? Roxanne done LOADS of solo skating.

Basically someone seems to have it in for Dan. Last 2 years partners were slated for lack of solo skating, this years Roxy skates solo and it gets ignored and as for the comments...............................

Nonense - Daniel did his usual great job (as with Linda Lusardi and Gaynor F) or making his partner look wonderful i.e. by not making them do much skating.

Donal skated and did some complex moves - Roxanne was carried around.

Frankly I am sick of the men getting voted off - its obvious when a man is a poor skater as he has to skate and do lifts whereas women like Colleen, Roxanne and Melinda can just be carried around by their partners and made to look wonderful.

I think she is much better than Zoe & Jessica.

I think Roxy should of got more marks she deserved a lot better.

I was fuming that Melinda got the same marks as Roxy she blatently fell and should of been knocked down on marks.

Again, Roxanne has proved that she can skate, she done alot of solo skating last week and the week before.

Had Melinda not been saved by her partner she'd have been flat on her face! Yet Roxy skates ALONE and still gets marked down. She cant win no matter what she does the judges have it in for her epsecially Jason and Ruth.

Sadly ITV have taken Clare's show youtubes off the net - the tour version of the early headbanger is standing though if its the one you mean - link is in post 55 above. Is that the backflip too?

Suzanne does do her first headbanger from the ground - I just rewatched it. Its a far better one than Roxy's though and its more dramatic than Clare's (more bounce) though I think Clare's better at some things too.

The Girls are all still running 3 marks behind Clare's and 2.5 behind Suzanne's best marks so far.

Zoe had a stronger performance, flowed better and had more difficulty allowing for height but I would have thought Roxy moved into the competitive zone.”

What was the more difficult content?

I think you must be underestimating the difficulty of skating as Jessica does.

Then someone needs to tell T&D to stop putting those lifts into the routines.

I think that the scores this week were much more consistent, which means some people appear to be doing worse because their marks were too high before. I really wasn't impressed with Roxannes routine, and the headbanger didn't fit at all. She does skate on her own, but it doesn't flow and a lot of it feels clunky. I definitely think she deserved to be in the middle of the score board.
