The entertainer has gone
Tutunka

No point watching now that Tucker has gone. I really can't be bothered to watch a showoff kid skate his way to winnersville.

The entertainers are still there. The damp squib is gone.

Only in Britain would people whine when the most talentless person gets eliminated from a talent competition.

Two good comments, I agree completely.

Todd was entertaining...until they forced it. After the stumble into the tunnel, they took his lack of talent too far and instead of genuinely working to improve they tried to play up the humour, which they did too much. I'm glad the British Public got bored of it as quickly as I did because although I wish Todd well, I couldn't have sat through weeks of that.

The thread title gave me a shock - thought Ray had quit!

You only watched because of Todd? *ahem* Okay well if that's your cup of tea just nip down to your ice rink and watch people

I knew when I read the title that someone would think that a person gurning and stumbling across the ice would be classed as entertainment. That is the last thing I think it is. It embarrasses me as did John Sargeant's attempts at dancing.

One of the many entertainers has left. I still have lots more contestants who will entertain me.

I'm with you on this, Gill P. The first incident was funny, the rest got very boring, very quickly. Nice guy but rubbish skater.

I loved watching Todd and would have liked to enjoy him a little longer but to not want to watch again??

Most fans of the show watch it for every aspect as a whole ... surely!

And if by "show off kid" you mean Ray ... you can't deny he's by far the most competent skater & as much a joy to watch as Todd was

The boring pain in the a*se has gone. He was an insult to the show after the 'Frank Spencer' week.

Wel if you preverence is watching someone stumble & wobble around an ice rink DOI is not for you.

I suggest you turn up at you local ice rink where you will find plenty of entertainment like that

Todd has gone, Ray has won it, what else do we need to know?

Not necessarily. Todd was never a contender. The fact that despite his "entertainment" value, soap popularity and the sympathy vote, he was in the bottom two so soon proves that. He didn't even have to leave the competition a la John Sarjeant.

Jessica is a contender, Donal is ever improving and irresistibly endearing, Coleen is just popular. Ray winning is not a foregone conclusion, much as I think he deserves to win at this stage.

Given he couldn't skate they had no option but to build an act on either him not doing anything or falling down. There's only so many ways of doing nothing or falling down. Even slapstick doesn't work because the people who did slapstick were actually very physically capable and were better actors.

The producers of the DOI tour obviously don't agree with you

I don't think you can have read what I was replying to Kiyoka as you seem to have missed my point completely.

And incase I have missed your point, let me clarify that I found Todd very entertaining to watch

I am really hacked off that he's going on the tour. I spent a lot of money on my tickets and I wanted to see the best of the best on the tour.

I see people like him at my rink when I go why would I pay to see him.

He didn't entertain me, I found his routines uncomfortable to watch and I'm glad he was booted out.

Although I do think he's a nice chap, I don't think he tried to hard to get any better.
