Changed to Virigin but can't hear phone ringing
Wondering if someone could help, changed from BT to Virgin today, I have an active line but when someone rings me I can't hear the phone in the flat ringing. I've obviously tested this out with my moible, I've re-set my landline phone, I've checked the volume is turned up and mute isn't on, I've got two ntl/virgin phone sockets in the flat and have the same problem with both. I've already been in touch with Virgin who assume me it's not a problem with the line but with my phone, but I haven't a clue what's happend or how to fix it! I've got a Philips CD 245, anyone know of anything I can try?
Thanks, Purple |

When you say you changed to Virgin is this still over BT's network or have you now got 'cable' connection ?
If you got 'cable' didnt Virgin visit your property and fit you a new socket ?, did you move your phone out of the BT socket into the new cable socket Not being funny but some people dont move the phone ! If you are still on BT's network but Virgin are your service provider try dialing 17070 ( or 147017070 if you dont have CLI) and see if the line reports your number |
