I don't mind awkward. She seems quite genuine.
Someone slicker may not give a crap about the show, and just have their eye on their career....I'd rather awkward.

If you want things changed, maybe you could email the program. I think that sometimes emails get taken notice of.

well, getting Nick to say 'crucial conundrum' for one thing, when it's crucial.

if you meant me, then I personally emailed them about the stupid way that the countdown conundrum showed the word 'INCORRECT'.....I said it should be in red if they were going to do that, so that people don't get momentarily confused each time. Trivial I know, but it irked me. I don't think they mind getting emails.

The other day Nick just told the guy he was wrong instead of waiting for INCORRECT to appear. Maybe your email worked, or maybe they were running late..

In any case it's better than the old system where when they said, "let's see if you're right", you knew they were even before the word appeared! Because they would only say that when the contestant had guessed correctly.

I wonder if, when he asks the audience for the answer to the conundrum, many people get it wrong.....must be embarrassing for them. Still it's worth it to try for the cup. I think they get a cup.

the 'INCORRECT' should just be in red though; it's ok apart from that.

If it's in red you instantly know that it was the wrong word.

Or you can look at the word INCORRECT and instantly know it was the wrong word.

It takes a fraction of second extra to appreciate that it is in fact INCORRECT and not a word very close to it that might be the answer. And there is always the unlikely possibility that the conundrum itself was a rearrangement of INCORRECT so that the contestant was in fact correct!

So not as instant as having it in a different colour.

yeah I saw todays, thought it was a lovely appearance. Rachel was so shocked, it was sweet.

I too thought Myleene looked angry.

I loved the Giggsy moment - I also liked Nick's mention of Carol V - not before time!

I've actually loved Myleene this week. Much better than some God awful people they have on there. Hunniford, Zenon, Ayres, Brandreth to name a few.

I've liked her too, but I find it hard to be objective because she' so lovely. In those glasses she looks even sexier than normal.

I agree. She seems very "lightweight" for the finals. Not a good choice.

Myleene is beautiful, with a lovely sparkly personality. I'm enjoyong her appearances this week.

Surely there aren't many people who still agree with the title of this thread. In my opinion Hewer has made the show unwatchable. I can't understand the criticism of Rachel though. A huge improvement on supersized ego Vorderman.

I agree, I never used to miss this show, but since Nick took over I just dip in and out as and when. Rachel is gorgeous.

Nick came up with another dreadful attempt at a link today. In the boring intro, Rachel advised him to get an electric bike. He then tried to link that to the "mental electricity" of the contestants. Awful.

The chap on today was superb at the numbers. I hope he wins tomorrow.

It speaks volumes about how far Countdown has fallen - hours after a cracking final, there is not one comment.
