“Sometimes my cat acts like he’s married to the cat next door
… and I call that a WEDMOG!”

I’m guessing Jo was just hungover that day, or didn’t have time to prepare or something. She’s always funny on QI. However, some of her sexist humour seem a bit provocative for Countdown. I know, like many comedians, Jo makes fun of everyone, including herself — but the way she always falls back on slagging off men seems a bit strong on such a gentle, polite programme.
I think Zenon and Durham are probably my favourites. I love magic and you can guarantee their bits will be interesting, even if the trick is a bit cheap sometimes. I also love Digance’s poetry. But I’m sorry to say that I generally find most of the Dictionary Dwellers a bit boring. They’re lovely people, but a lot of the anecdotes are really not very interesting. With the greatest of respect, I sometimes feel Dictionary Corner is like a final resting place for elderly celebrities, where they can sit and watch a show quietly without really having to contribute much.
I wish they would have more comedians on: people who can bring a bit of liveliness and sparkle to the role.
Tim Vine is great, and I hope they keep him coming back regularly.
