I suppose, if they are trying to increase the viewing figures...they are going down the right road!

Last week (14-18 Sep) was recorded 17th June. There was a long break, don't think it was that long though as I understand a certain number of shows have to be already 'in the can', otherwise we'd almost be watching it live now!
I'm sure continuity takes care of things such as contestants growing long beards and such apparently from one show to the next!

This week's shows were recorded on September 7th. I make that almost three months.
Has Rachel taken to wearing some kind of lift and support knickers recently? Her arse was always a bit flat but these days it seems to be busting out like Vordermans used too..

Anyone know if there are plans for recording Countdown in HD?
At present I watch the show recorded from an analog signal, so it would make a pleasant change to see the letters and things much more clearly.

So our summer break doesn’t correspond to the filming summer break? That seems a shame. It would be nice if we both stopped at the same point for summer.

That's a bit harsh, doing the numbers in studio conditions is very very difficult. I doubt very much it was a case of 'lack of brains' more just running out of time to fully explore that particular method.

No worries mate, I just thought it was worth emphasising how hard the numbers rounds are under studio conditions (for most people). If you try something and it gets close, do you write it down (legibly) which takes up a lot of time, or try something different? (which might make you forget your first route should you need it!)

I think Rachel is lovely and I don't know why some people criticise her clothes so much... she's a young girl after all and I didn't hear complaints once Carol 'big mouth' Vorderman had been botoxed, got fake hair extensions and enlarged boobs and then started to wear revealing dresses towards the end of her stint!!!
