Tim Vine is excellent too.

Pudenda(s) ( can it be pluralised ? ) was a 7/8 letter option in one of yesterday's selections but I think Suzi was too embarrassed to highlight it and describe its meaning.

Apparently Rachel found "Penises "and put it on the board but they didn't release the film because they were afraid it would end up on Youtube and such like.

What's happened to the early morning repeats?

I'm missing my 5am Rachel fix.

I liked the lady who he beat yeasterday. She was rather pretty. Not Rachel-level, obviously, but still, very nice.

Yay, Rachel and Jeff's 200th edition today. Congratulations. Wow time flies, is that about a year?

Also like Charlie and shame the numbers let the girl down yesterday. I didn't mind Ryan, although he was a bit of a walking dictionary at times, coming up with words for Leprosy cream!! Tim Vine made me laugh, how the heck did you know that?!

Is it just me, or does anyone else think there is a ridiculous amount of variation in the conundrum difficulty. They seem to go from something so easy, with almost half the word showing up in the jumbled up letters, such as Bushberry, (Shrubbery), to others where not a soul in the entire building can answer!

Countdown has certainly improved this week with Amanda Lamb in Dictionary corner.

I like Rachel Riley, but I also like Amanda Lamb.

But which is best? There's only one way to find out..........but this is a family forum.

Bloody John Gaunt in Dictionary Corner this week.

My mute button will be used a few times in the coming days, I suspect.

Does anyone know how many shows they record in one sitting? I'm going to a recording next Monday. Arrival time 12:30. Finish time about 5:45pm.

They record five shows per filming day. Based on the times you've given, you should see three shows recorded.

They take a break for an hour or so after they film three shows, then record another two in the evening (or in the late afternoon, if it's a day on which they've started recording in the morning).

I've watched Countdown a fair bit in the last few weeks and I'm well impressed with Rachel on the numbers. From what I've seen she seems to be even better than Vorderman. Also, I gather it's already been mentioned a few times but her body is awesome .

Anyone watching Countdown this week? Jan Parker is an interesting contestant, she of the bizarre Rapunzal-like hair and slightly plastic face! A worldwide rock singer, she looked great back in her punk days.

Doing well though - great at the numbers.

PS Poor Susie - her face was nearly as red as the Doctor's plums, when he was talking about feeling them today!

Jan does look strange, that trout pout makes her look like Plug from The Bash St. Kids little sister.

Doctor's plums sounds like one of Jeff's clues for the anagrams at the breaks.

Saw the show on Monday and had a feeling the Doc might get a bit racy.

Looking at Rachel all week is it a surprise he's talking about plum-squeezing?

Ha ha - yes. Mind you, the whole show's becoming a bit - ooh matron, these days! Whoever composes those teatime teasers..... well!!! There was one recently, forgotten the solution, but the clue was, waking up with the horn! No idea how Jeff kept a straight face.

I'm hoping "erection" was the answer.

..... ah but did you know you that if "Doctors Plums" had been a teatime teaser as you suggested, you could turn it into a "Plods scrotum!" Sorry, will stop this silliness now, can't resist messing around with words.

More at http://freespace.virgin.net/therocker.rockson/ The mouth shape is very recognisable.

Good song at http://freespace.virgin.net/therocke...n/mp3s/Gun.mp3

She's been quite successful, it seems. On the main page she's described as rock royalty!

C4 really are missing a trick by not having a late-night Countdown.
