I am sure the losing contestant today (Mark) was given six points for 'runner' when there was only one 'r' in the selection
YES Having watched the show on catchup he did submit RUNNER and was awarded 6 points and there was only one R in the selection

How can they miss such things at recording stage?

Surely between Suzi, the guest in DC, Jeff and the production team, someone should have realised?

What happens now or were those 6 points not crucial to the eventual outcome??

What's wrong with the bumhuggers? I like the bumhuggers. I want more bumhuggers. Bring on the bumhuggers.

It doesn't happen very often, but this is the second time in as many weeks.

To paraphrase Lady Bracknell, allowing this to happen once may be regarded as a misfortune; twice looks like carelessness!

They were distracted by Rachel's R's.

The scores were much more than 6 appart so it did not affect the outcome

She stepped in at the last minute when Andrew Castle was delayed getting to the studio. He arrived at some time in the morning, so could complete the day's filming, meaning he managed three episodes.

They record a weeks worth of episodes in one day, with the Monday episode being recorded at about 10.30am, Tuesdays at about 11.45am, then they stop for lunch and then recording doesn't resume until about 2.30pm for the Wednesday episode.

And how much do they get paid for working just one day a week? I know Jeff Sterling does other things, but what about Rachel and Suzie?

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned it, but when did they stop referring to the winners' trophy as the "Richard Whitley Memorial Trophy?"

Do they have the same audience for the entire day?

They change them for each recording. For example, Wednesday is students' day.

Yes and No, they have two recording blocks in one day, one from 9.45am til 1pm, and then 1pm til 6pm, in the longer block they provide you with a snack (or to be precise a 2 finger Twix and a carton of Princes Orange Juice) as they have a long break.

You can watch it for the whole day if you wanted to, but it's easier to go to a block.

When they do record they usually record 3 weeks worth on 3 days, usually Mon-Wed, I think more to suit Jeff's schedule if anything.

I went to watch it a fortnight ago and they were recording episodes for W/C September 13th, they've also got the week afterwards recorded and then there's no more filming until September.

Completely backless from Rachel today.

Oh, only from the waste up, before you get too excited.

Well that's the reason I turned to it earlier today! Then I find myself trying to do the numbers game...so her presence IS getting me into the show, it's working!!

If you don't like it then don't watch it, there's plenty of rubbish on if you prefer that. Looking at Channel 4's afternoon programmes there's nothing but rubbish on apart from Countdown (imho) which is not a problem as I don't have time to watch TV in the afternoon anyway (Countdown is Sky+ed).

Personally I wish they'd make enough to avoid the breaks at Christmas etc.
