I really like Jeff as well (but I'm probably biased cos I'm a huge fan of his from Soccer Saturday).

As you say, unlike the two Des's, he looks interested, even trying his hand at the odd numbers game. And he has a nice line in self-deprecating humour I think - although it can be a bit corny at times..

The new bunch of guests in DC seem to generally struggle to tell self-contained and witty anecdotes which leaves Jeff having to ask leading questions to try to have some banter. John Parrot, Tim Vine, Dr Phil and Dave Starkey are the only ones who immediately spring to mind that manage to engage with the viewer both independently and with Jeff.

It is better, but I can't stand the current champion. What an absolute creep he comes across as. Urgh.

I was hoping the lovely Irish girl would have beaten him!

Me too, wasn't she bonny! I hate how he cuts across Rachel to say consonant and then, if you watch, he'll put down his pencil after 20 secs of the numbers round, shake his head like he can't figure it out, and he always has it. Smug git.

Plus, wearing a 1999 shirt? REALLY.

In his defence he did pick more vowels, which meant Rachel had to lean over more often ...

"Dave Starkey"?! As in Dr David Starkey, the TV historian?

I could see him as a DC guest in the very early Whiteley years, but in this instance I think you mean the comedian (no less intellectual, having said that) Dave Spikey...

What's wrong with wearing a 1999 T shirt? If anything I'd say it's good because he's not throwing out perfectly serviceable clothes just because they're old.

He is a nerd but he's also a splitting image of Doctor Who - no not Mat Smith.

Dave Spikey and David Starkey. Wouldn't you love to see a Life-swap programme where they had to swap roles for a week?

But which is better? There's only one way to find out!

One of the best guests in dictionary corner is the magician Paul Zenon. The worst are folk like Jo Brand with her made up words that aren't funny the first time never mind by the 40th time half way through a week. Rory McGrath is good value as well as he does know his stuff when it comes to the English language.

Rachel's t&a make the show though, without something decent to look at you don't have a show.

Yes. She does have a lovely bottom. Better than that Pippa Middleton that everybody keeps banging on about!

I love Jeff and believe he's been the only serious contender as a presenter since Richard. The jury's out on Rachel - yeah ok but her dress sense. When are the producers going to realise that Carol could dress young for her age but appealed to the 'older' guys as the thinking man's crumpet. In contrast, Rachel just looks like she's trying too hard and I'm sure they tell her to wear those clingy short dresses. Yeah, ok, so any man might look in passing but she's never had the same impact as Carol. Jeff, on the other hand, would be a big loss - just don't like the combination.

They should get Robson Green in dictionary corner, he'd be fantastic at engaging with the audience, as always, and he's from the North East so he and Jeff would have a natural rapport.

I like Gloria Hunniford on this week!

They have just had the word ERECTION and EROTIC and I don't know how Jeff stopped himself from laughing!!!

Rubbish, she's made a bigger impact than Carol

Golly yes. I was wondering whether she has had a little surgical enhancement "up top" as she seems to be somewhat larger in the chest region than I remember.

Don't think so. It's just that the dress was extremely tight! Best I've seen her in a long while. Rear of the Year in my book!

Delia Smith is a bloody boring female , she justs reads what Suzi writes down for her.

For God's sake please book celebrities who show interest, can ad-lib.... .....or even just speak more than 3 words at one time.
