Quick question for genuine players of the game - would SHALOM have been allowed in today's show? The word appears in the online Oxford Dictionary, but I'm not sure if it's allowed due to its Hebrew origins...

Not really - I haven't got the conundrum for a couple of weeks and I got MOTIVATED within the first couple of seconds. I think the champ would have got it moments later.

They do seem to have sexed her up a bit. In fact, far more than a bit. When she started on the show she dressed in a fairly dowdy, frumpy sort of way. She was clearly a pretty girl but she was hiding her light under a bushel.
But after about six months she was transformed. It was all figure-hugging, mini-dresses. Not that I'm complaining. That girl is a work of art. A modern wonder of the world. Unbelievably pretty and the most extraordinary figure (and that breathtaking arse). Clearly quite bright too.

I think a lot of it had to do with her own confidence. She had a massive amount of pressure on her to do well when she started. Whatever you think of Carol Vordermann, Rachel had a very tough act to follow and also she has no TV presenting skills or experience. It's understandable that it would take some time to grow in confidence and her manner, ability and choice of outfits reflect this.
Les Dennis's miserable countenance and lack of any input is hacking me right off, and spoiling my enjoyment of the show.

I don't mind Jeff as host too much, but could certainly do without the constant sport stuff. There should be more writers, poets and intelligent people who can contribute more to the nature of the show rather than the nature of the host.
As for the INCORRECT signage - it does beg the question what would happen if INCORRECT was in fact the solution to the conundrum? Odd little paradox!

I think that's the last person Susie needs on the show is Giles "pervy" Brandreth. The way he invades her personal space (and anything else wearing a skirt) is not good - sometimes I thought she was going to fall off the edge of her chair in trying to move away from him.

I couldn't disagree more, I think Jeff is the best ever host* and is perfect for the show. The worst ever by far was Des O'Connor I dread them getting someone like him again.
*Obviously Richard will always be held in great affection but if I'm honest I think Jeff is more of a natural.

I think Rachel is lovely as well as being intelligent and maybe when she first came into the show she wanted to make a 'gentle' entrance and work her way in gradually and perhaps see what the response was from viewers after a couple of months and then introduce her own styling into the show... it could be that other people were dressing her and buying her clothes at the start and perhaps once she'd seen some of the early shows she wanted to show more of herself and started to wear clothes she feels comfortable in!
I'm sure there are guests that refused to come back to DC after the manner of Carol's departure though, they've had to look for new faces. Think rc was talking about Giles Coren as opposed to Brandreth - but on the subject of the latter, he gives me the creeps too.
Really not impressed with Les Dennis this week. Not enjoying his name dropping theme. His amusment at finding "genitals" earlier in the week was a little annoying too as nobody else laughed!
If any Rachel fans are interested, she's on 8 out of 10 Cats Uncut at the moment and looks very nice!
