Let's get back to guests that can actually speak for themselves.
We do like the "INCORRECT" for a wrongly guessed conundrum. Much better than "Let's See" which told you it was correct.”

As for the INCORRECT signage - it does beg the question what would happen if INCORRECT was in fact the solution to the conundrum? Odd little paradox!”
I think that Jeff Stelling has changed the whole character of the show for the worse. The contestants are usually described by their sporting interests these days. If they have no interest in sport then Jeff seems to be at a loss. There are more sports people as guests these days rather than " writers, poets and intelligent people". These "superstars" are interviewed about their amazing feats, whereas in previous years guests would have actually taken the time to prepare an amusing piece aimed at people interested in words and language and literature (which is what the show is about after all).
Jeff Stelling is by far the worst of the Countdown hosts.
As far as Rachel is concerned, she is certainly a good looker, but did someone actually say that she is intelligent ?
When has she ever, ever shown any knowledge whatsoever of any books, literature or of any popular music prior to 1980 ? Heck she barely knew the name of any of the Rolling Stones songs when they were discussed a few days ago.
