Good grief. I don't know who chose Rachel's outfit today, but it's vile. And as for those clodhoppers on her feet -

Jeff's excellent.

Rachel still comes across as too nervy.

I thought she'd have settled down by now.

Rachel's wardrobe is still rather garish at times. She doesn't seem to have very good posture; it makes her look gawky and stooped.

I like her dress, it looks nice .

Tim Vine is good value in Dictionary Corner.

Jeff seems to play the game aswell, he did the maths last week, perhaps other presenters played the game without being allowed to mention it.

I think Rachel is nice. Hard role to fill. Dunno how TALL she is though. Maybe it's just that she is slim, but there's a slightly... Brobdindnagian air to proceedings now. ("Attack of the fifty foot woman" and all that good stuff!)

I like Rachel, very pretty, but she would look better if her skirts were kneelength - she hasn't got the legs for miniskirts.
What did you think of today's winner? I found him over the top and irritating - hope he doesn't last too long.
I so wanted Karen to come up with a couple of 9-letter words!

I didn't like him either. Too much of a Kirk Bevins-esque air of bumptiousness. I don't think he's anywhere as near as good as Kirk was on the letters though.

Oh, and Rachel has fantastic legs!

Yesterday's winner was very irritating. The sort of person you would never tire of hitting with a cricket bat!

What a smug ****. With an attitude like that, and with a face like his, he is never going to get laid. He looks like man in family guy

Let's just hope, if he gets through, his quarterfinal is against Kirk.

Good episode today: Tim Vine was gagtastic and the challenger was quite tasty!

Makes a refreshing change to have 2 fairly young female contestants on consecutive days as the average age of the females seems to be much higher than males. Might partly explain why there's invariably more men/ boys in finals than women...

I'm glad I've been able to catch Countdown this week. Tim Vine is perfect for the Dictionary Corner role!

Plus there's Rachel with her figure-hugging outfits and swingy bob.......

Yesterday saw the final episode filmed at YTV's Kirkstall Road studios.

A sad day.

Very pleased that the champion got beaten today; especially as he was so desperate to win that he pressed the buzzer in the final round, on 29 seconds, and make a ridiculous guess at the conundrum.

Definitely one of the most annoying contestants of recent times.

Tim's great. I realised today, he's been inspired by Tommy Cooper - his delivery's the same. Daft jokes but you can't help laughing. Been an entertaining week.

Tim's jokes were actually mistaken for the late, great TC's

Check them out, and the correspondence at the bottom of the page.

Sad that his talent is mistaken and plagiarised, his sitcom Not Going Out, the freshest thing out of Beeb comedy for years, is sidelined, yet he's what the term "comedian" is all about
